Leaked: Trump's Next Executive Order - "Eliminate the Welfare Magnet Driving Illegal Immigration
Freedom Outpost ^ | 2/3/2017 | Tim Brown

Now, this will do more to eliminating illegal immigration than anything else, including a wall that costs American taxpayers billions of dollars and increases the size of the central government in border patrol agents. A leaked draft of an executive order by President Donald Trump indicates that he is looking to eliminate the welfare state for illegals, which is nothing more than dangling a carrot in front of them to cross the southern border on the American taxpayers' dime.

The Washington Post reports:

The Trump administration is considering a plan to weed out would-be immigrants who are likely to require public assistance, as well as to deport — when possible — immigrants already living in the United States who depend on taxpayer help, according to a draft executive order obtained by The Washington Post.

A second draft order under consideration calls for a substantial shake-up in the system through which the United States administers immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, with the aim of tightly controlling who enters the country and who can enter the workforce, and reducing the social services burden on U.S. taxpayers.

The drafts are circulating among administration officials, and it is unclear whether President Trump has decided to move forward with them or when he might sign them if he does decide to put them in place. The White House would not confirm or deny the authenticity of the orders, and White House officials did not respond to requests for comment about the drafts Monday and Tuesday.

one of the drafts titled “Executive Order on Protecting Taxpayer Resources by Ensuring Our Immigration Laws Promote Accountability and Responsibility" reads, “Our country’s immigration laws are designed to protect American taxpayers and promote immigrant self-sufficiency. Yet households headed by aliens are much more likely than those headed by citizens to use Federal means-tested public benefits."

While the Post claims that the EO "provides no evidence to support the claim that immigrant households are more likely to use welfare benefits," the reality is that has already been covered previously as the Obama administration worked with Mexico to advertise and provide such benefits to illegals in the States.

The Trump administration would seek to “deny admission to any alien who is likely to become a public charge” and to develop standards for “determining whether an alien is deportable . . . for having become a public charge within five years of entry."

Another EO titled “Executive Order on Protecting American Jobs and Workers by Strengthening the Integrity of Foreign Worker Visa Programs” calls for “eliminating” the “jobs magnet” that the administration claims is driving illegal immigration to the United States. That is welfare.

“The unlawful employment of aliens has had a devastating impact on the wages and jobs of American workers, especially low-skilled, teenage, and African American and Hispanic workers,” the draft order reads.

Angela Maria Kelley, an immigration expert at the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank said, “He’s loaded his anti-immigrant Uzi and is firing off another round. This time he’s aiming at U.S. citizen kids who have an undocumented parent, and depending how broad the reach of his order, he could deport kids who have received reduced lunches in school. It’s stunning the depth of disruption and chaos he seems hellbent on inflicting on our communities.”

However, Zero Hedge reminds us of the past.

Seemingly following the proposals of Bill Clinton (and Ron Paul), The Washington Post reports that a leaked document shows the Trump administration is planning to crackdown on current, and would-be, immigrants who are likely to require public assistance.

After Bill Clinton received a standing ovation for suggesting crackdown on immigrant welfare…

“We are a nation of immigrants.. but we are a nation of laws”

“Our nation is rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country…

Illegal immigrants take jobs from citizens or legal immigrants, they impose burdens on our taxpayers…

That is why we are doubling the number of border guards, deporting more illegal immigrants than ever before, cracking down on illegal hiring, barring benefits to illegal aliens, and we will do more to speed the deportation of illegal immigrants arrest for crimes…

It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws that has occurred in the last few years.. and we must do more to stop it.”

Ron Paul offered similar advice earlier this week. He wrote:

Remove the welfare magnet that attracts so many to cross the border illegally, stop the 25 year US war in the Middle East, and end the drug war that incentivizes smugglers to cross the border.

The various taxpayer-funded programs that benefit illegal immigrants in the United States, such as direct financial transfers, medical benefits, food assistance, and education, cost an estimated $100 billion dollars per year. That is a significant burden on citizens and legal residents. The promise of free money, free food, free education, and free medical care if you cross the border illegally is a powerful incentive for people to do so. It especially makes no sense for the United States government to provide these services to those who are not in the US legally.

These are unsubstantiated draft from the Post. They have been know to provide fake news in the past. The White House has neither confirmed nor denied the drafts as authentic. Time will tell, but this certainly sounds like the Donald Trump we heard on the campaign trail and the removal of illegals from the welfare system is a step in the right direction. If we could only start thinking the same way about the entire welfare system, we'd be in good shape.

That’s not exactly what this means but I agree with your sentiment nevertheless.

How can this be implemented?

According to the Marxist Judges who run this country the world’s entire population is entitled to come to America, live outside the law, and have American citizens support them.

It’s “in the Constitution!” And don’t forget the battle cry of the Left: “State’s Rights!”

To prevent illegal alien welfare fraud it is as you noted necessary to catch them

The federal benefits dispersed by a plastic card must be administered by a federal rather than a state employee to a person having proof of citizenship, a birth certificate. I don’t see how it can be made to work because in Sanctuaries, any piece of paper including a blank paper will be accepted.

Until the sanctuaries are removed, there is no solution. Whining about kids must not win the day. Kids must be deported or families separated.

It’s a start. Then tackle the welfare fraud perpetrated by citizens who collect it while selling drugs as a side business.

I suspect the “leaker” is under orders to put these things out there just to see how the media and the public react to them.

Yes. $1,000 fines per day per employee on a company employing an illegal would cut the magnet. The Feds know when an employee is using a stolen SS number because payroll credits come in from multiple locations, for more work hours in a week than exist in total. Each person using the same SS number needs to be identified, the American protected, and the impostors ejected.

That reminds me...I once read an account of a journalist who actually got off his backside and mingled in with the third world hordes attempting to reach the UK.

Among them was no highfalutin talk of a better life, religious freedom, getting a job, providing for a family or escaping oppression. They wanted the goodies, pure and simple: ‘In Britain, they give you a house.’ This was the article of faith and, unfortunately, they weren’t far wrong.

These scroungers are illiterate but their word of mouth communication has cemented in their minds the legend of Easy Street in Western democracies.

Michael Weiner was counting on an appointment in the Trump administration or whoever would have him.

When it was clear that there were no spoils, he turned on Trump.

Very unstable guy.

The interesting thing about this is that removal of public charges who are non-citizens is black-letter law.

It is the People’s law, passed by our Representatives in Congress assembled, signed by Presidents, and enforced (in the past) by our representative government.

What the antis are proposing is nullification of the People’s laws by mobs. That’s what’s at stake, and it’s a much bigger issue than what’s good for Juan and Maria.

“Any alien who, in the opinion of the consular officer at the time of application for a visa, or in the opinion of the Attorney General at the time of application for admission or adjustment of status, is likely at any time to become a public charge is inadmissible.”

I have met two retired former consular officers. They were both screamingly gay, limp-wristed and anti-American. These were thirty year career government people. They would probably be on the lookout for leaches they could import to drain the federal budget instead of denying them entry.

I just call it stealing. Govt bureaucrats have been stealing from us for a long time. That’s what a rebellion should really be about, but no, hardly a sound from any quarter until Mr. Trump. And they’re insubordinate in his face and America’s. They should get the Mussolini cure.

The practice of granting anchor status to illegal alien babies needs to stop, as well. The illegal immigration monster is like a hydra with many heads--you have to cut them all.

Prior to about 2009 or so I remember reading about employers who were drawing prison time for knowingly hiring illegals.

I wonder what happened after that?
