[Snip] The country and the world have now quickly learned that much of Trumps rhetoric was indeed to be taken literally, and his recent immigration ban is by far the new presidents most controversial move to date. Now, in the latest chapter of this saga, 97 companies including some of the biggest names in tech have banded together to file a legal brief in opposition of Trumps executive order on immigration.

Thanks.
I really haven’t had much time to see who is on or off this naughty list.
freepmail it to me.
I’m not a yogurt person, but some of our relatives are.
If you have the time, some of the from scratch recipes are great.
My wife finally retired 3+ years ago. She makes all of our salad dressings from scratch, my Humus, her croutons to kill for and a few other things. The only problem are the addicted family members and friends who want reruns of what they had to eat here before.
Well it is time that there be a rebuilding of American schools.
I have a Dropbox account. I had an issue that needed support and was referred to a 3rd party vendor in India that seemed very sketchy.
Going to bite the bullet for a server or other medium of storage and cut out Dropbox when my contract expires.
I wonder how ‘TheDonald’ on Reddit is feeling about this?
Imagine if every member of Free Republic bought a single share of each one of those 97 companies.
Then as shareholders and owners we could write a nasty letter expressing our opposition their company policy, demand a shareholders meeting to put it to a vote and then travel to the shareholders meeting and express our opposition.
A tall order, I know...
I worked for Intel for 25 years.
BK’s stupid ideas began 4 years ago when he said Intel should move out of desktop and into tablets.
Margin on mobile/desktop cpu are about 60% of price.
Margin on tablet cpu are in about $1.5 dollars maximum.
Then he said Intel should push into watches.
Intel made digital watches back in the 80’s and lost $ on everyone.
One of the issues that backed Trumps attorney in the corner was the exception for minority religions. She explained that part was not exclusive to any country as a Muslim is a minority in Europe and they therefor would be the exception. I think it’s that part that caused the judge to put a restraining order. the prosecution stated they did not have a problem with the entire EO, however he cited a case in which a partial disagreement with a case was used to throw out the entire case.
You probably have never met BK.
I have met Andy Grove, Craig Barrett, Paul Ordelini and BK.
BK is dumber than a box of rocks.
His first “accomplishment” was to bulldoze Digital Equipment’s fab in Massachusetts after it was sold to Intel.
The last “Heavy Lifter” to leave Intel was Pat Gelsinger, now CEO of VMware.
A truly brilliant man who got stabbed by internal politics.
The rest were driven out by Craig Barrett and his H1b push after 2000.
BK used to work for Barrett.
Inside Intel, BK is known as “Burger King” and not with any affection.
I used to LOVE working for Intel until BK showed up.
I decided to retire instead of working for the idiot.
Apple and Microsoft on the list.
Unlike most companies, Intel DOES respond to feedback from customers and users like yourself.
Board of Directors is a very good idea.
Here is what Intel is really scared of.
Their biggest fab in Europe is in Israel and they really don’t want the rest of the world to know that.
Much of Intel’s core design work is done in Haifa, Israel.
This is why AMD’s fab was bought by Aubu Daubi on the idea they could sell CPU’s to Arab countries, not touched by “Jews”.
Intel doesn’t want this to be commonly known as it would impact their sales.
I suspect this is the threat that is forcing them to back Obama.
Intel used to be a hard core Republican company.
Andy, Craig and Paul were all Republicans.
A good alternative to Ancestry is MyHeritage.com. It is an Israeli company.
Thanks, is this company a free company?
I smell a large helping of SJW virtue signalling.
Corporate whores opposed to our national security, F them all!!
Yes! So much easier and doable, especially for a group of likeminded people that need a focal point for their aggravation. Who on this list can be visibly hurt the quickest?
Let’s figure it out. I have accounts with many of these companies. I already deleted the Reddit app from my phone and made a post on Reddit about why. I have left Twitter and started using GAB.ai instead. I am deleting all my photos on Facebook, so I can stop using that. Many of these are social media. What would be the best target? We absolutely need to get organized, the way the other side is. Apple would be a good target, but how often do you buy an Apple product? I have them and won’t buy more, but that won’t make an impact immediately.
Looks like mostly companies in the tech industry/Silicon Valley along with some others that depend heavily on mobile apps such as Uber. Not coincidentally, many (not all) of these companies are based on the West Coast and supported Obama and Clinton.
I will be dropping Drop Box. I used it when I left the PC world for our photos and some tax spread sheets.
This is the end of Drop Box for me.
I’ve been buying from L.L. Bean and Duluth Trading. I don’t know about their positions on things political, although I believe I read somewhere that Bean was a bit conservative. What I do know is that I’ve been quite satisfied with their products, mainly jeans, overalls, and sweats. Darn sight better quality than Levi.
What about Facebook? It does seem to be the root of all evil. Most of the companies on the list are on...Facebook. And yet other wonderful companies, institutions, and people have Facebook accounts because they think they need to be there. They don’t. We don’t. Zuckerburg is a huge open borders guy and Facebook did all it could to steer the election.
