Maybe we should just let San Francisco secede. No way can America allow the state to but just getting rid of that cesspool might be worth it.

CA is as broke as Venezuela if you count their debt load from the state’s retirement system.

No...we want the Leftists and the Mexicans to declare secession.

Then we can have a war against them with the rest of the country and the Federal government behind us.

Best part is we get to Reconstruct them at the end, just like the original Republicans - the Radical Republicans - did to the South!

Great fun. All sorts of retribution and revenge.

Hey, they’re the ones always yelling that a State has no right to secede.

Let’s have the fight. We know who wins.

It’s funny how for years a similar movement in Texas was lampooned, and routinely harassed by the law, but I can only imagine that WaPo totally avoided any snarky language or swipes at these guys.

Many counties in California won’t leave. Millions won’t give up their welfare, SS, disability, federal government jobs, etc.

This is the most wanted in LA....Enough said. Anyone who looks at this and still agrees with an open border needs their head examined. And I keep posting this on Freep and nobody ever comments on it..What am I missing?

Fine with me. As long as Moonbeam will agree to pay for “the wall” along the California border on the western bank of the Colorado River. This will be a great way to refill Lake Meade.

Let me introduce these wanna-be traitors to Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

Congress has set death as the maximum punishment for Treason. Anyone who assist in California attempting to secede should be convicted of Treason and then put before a firing squad.

CA has the largest economy of all 57 states, and if it was an independent country, it would have the 6th or 7th biggest economy in the world.

unfortunately, they are rich enough to be stupid politically. I think it will ultimately catch up with them, but for now, I think we have to just deal with them.

sorry, Geoff, but 5 million Republicans in California have a different opinion.

If California broke off from the USA, within 6 months the Mexicans would invade (not that they haven’t already) and claim at least up thru the central valley. The USA would not defend a hostile California. California would cease to exist except for the northern territory - which would be in constant conflict with both Oregon from the north, seeking to expand influence, and Mexico coming up from the south. The citizenry would live in armed conflict for decades and most would lose their homes and livelihoods. It’s a lose-lose situation. Even a child could figure it out.
