Cankles is FINISHED as a candidate. Name ONE Democrat candidate who got invited back to the hayride four years after losing the banner! Let's see, wasn't Mondale, wasn't Dukakis, there wasn't Gore, there wasn't Kerry.
Stevenson!
Adelai Stevenson lost in a landslide to Eisenhower in 1952, and incredibly enough ran again on the Dem ticket in 1956, when he lost by an even greater landslide.
Others have already mentioned Stevenson; there’s also William Jennings Bryan.
That's what I think, too. They are going to try to equate "Biden" with "Gravitas" and try to get the older white working class vote back. They have to: increased immigration enforcement is already cutting off their all-minority + illegal voter strategy at the knees.
The only problem for them is that Trump is evolving in office so fast that they will have zero chance of making that comparison stick with the public, even with a full-court MSM press on their behalf. I don't know who would have voted for Trump out of frustration and then look at Biden 2020 and change back to, "Yep, that's the guy I want - a real Democrat just like my granddad!" :)
Adlai Stevenson was a two-time Dem loser. College students loved him.
