Is a Korean missile crisis ahead?
Worldnet Daily ^ | March 9th, 2017 | Patrick J Buchanan

To back up Defense Secretary “Mad Dog” Mattis’ warning last month, that the U.S. “remains steadfast in its commitment” to its allies, President Donald Trump is sending B-1 and B-52 bombers to Korea.

Some 300,000 South Korean and 15,000 U.S. troops have begun their annual Foal Eagle joint war exercises that run through April.

“The two sides are like two accelerating trains coming toward each other with neither side willing to give way,” says Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, “Are (they) really ready for a head-on collision?”

So it would seem.

It is Kim Jong Un – 33-year-old grandson of that Stalinist state’s founding father, who launched the first Korean War – who brought on this confrontation.

In February, Kim’s half-brother was assassinated in Malaysia in a VX nerve agent attack, and five of Kim’s security officials were executed with anti-aircraft guns. Monday, Kim launched four missiles toward U.S. bases, with three landing in the Sea of Japan.

U.S. response: Begin immediate deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense missile shield in Korea.

In the long run, Pat is right: South Korea and Japan have the ability to protect themselves from BOTH the NORKS and China.

However, in the short term we need to show resolve and the willingness to undertake existential war.

Some kind of action, maybe, but it won’t be a “crisis” except perhaps for Pyongyang.Trump is telling China, “yall call off this dog or we are going to put it down.” I hope he follows through without just getting more “begotiations” started. I expect there is a far better chance of him doing the job than any other previous president since WWII except maybe Reagan.

Why should Americans on the DMZ be among the first to die in a second Korean War?

It won't be a "second Korean War." It will be a resumption of The Korean War which was never ended but merely interrupted by an armistice which is a temporary cessation of hostilities to allow both sides to collect and bury their dead and/or to negotiate an end to the hostilities. We have been "negotiating" ever since to no result other than to solidify the Kims' stranglehold on the North.

This set off alarms in China. For while THAAD cannot shoot down Scuds on the DMZ, its radar can detect missile launches inside China, thereby, says Beijing, imperiling her deterrent.

For accepting THAAD, China has imposed sanctions on Seoul, and promised the U.S. a commensurate strategic response.

Minister Wang’s proposal for resolving the crisis: The U.S. and Seoul cancel the exercises and North Korea suspends the nuclear and missile tests.

Rumors are that China was preparing the older playboy brother to take over the country, talk about desperate.
If so china has had its fill of the NORKS.
That being said perhaps a night time TR3B raid on UN’s playground would be in order to stop the nonsense once and for all.

I agree that Japan and SouKorea can handle themselves, but the Nork missiles can be aimed in a wide sweep of various distances.

The Chicoms are a threat, yes, but they do have a habit of taking notes when smaller bullies get their noses bloodied.

To answer the ponderance of a “Korean Missile Crisis”, it alteady exists!

Unlike Fidel’s fiasco, North Korea already has, and have in place, functional missiles, and has demonstrated, that they get off the ground. Also, unlike Fidel, Norkorea has stated their intentions, i. e., American bases in Japan.

Titling B-52’s as ‘nuclear bombers’ is what they WERE. Nowadays, they can stand off.

If this chubby goof Kim ever really ordered a military attack or tried to launch a missile with intent, he would be murdered immediately by his inner circle. They are the privileged elite in North Korea. They know better than anyone that if war commenced, they themselves would soon be dead or imprisoned. Kim rants for attention and some concessions or money to keep the sick show open.

The Norks got nuthin' but nukes. Using a single one of them ensures annihilation by the west.

The Nork oligarchy is livin' the Life of Riley; ain't no way they're going to risk that.

"Is a Korean missile crisis ahead?"

Until we destroy them, yes. The next Nork launch of a test missile should result in an immediate kill of the missile and a few dozen bunker busters on the launch site, followed by a few dozen daisy cutters for the run away generals.

If there are any threats or actions that cross our RED LINE then Iran, N Korea and China should be nuked into extinction with ground bursts that wipe them out for years. Trump should inform them of this one time. If they act out Trump should hit the launch button.

We should not put up with their BS. Probably Russia too.

It is time to deploy 50 new Pershing III’s in South Korea, and another 50 in Japan.

And it’s too bad they could hit Beijing in 12 minutes.

Maybe then China will do something about it’s mad dog.

I’m not exactly sure what needs to be done, but something certainly needs to be done.

Clinton and Bush both deserve our wrath for allowing North Korea to develop nuclear weapons.

Iran, Obama...

THAAD
TERMINAL HIGH ALTITUDE AREA DEFENSE
When enemies attack, governments must be ready to defend their soldiers, citizens and infrastructure. That’s where THAAD comes in – one of the most advanced missile defense systems in the world
.................
Sometimes the chicoms stretch the truth. Although, everything they have they stole from someone else. It’s very likely the hard left sold them whatever they wanted.Would not be the first time....
