The government watchdog group Judicial Watch has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Justice (DOJ) seeking all records its has on the June 27, 2016 meeting between President Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch in her airplane, a meeting that occurred while the FBI was investigating Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, a potential national security crime.

The airplane meeting took place on the tarmac at the Phoenix Harbor International Airport, several days before Hillary Clinton was interviewed by the FBI. Several months after the gathering, Lynch told the media that she “regretted” the meeting with Bill Clinton because “it did make people wonder, ‘Is it going to affect the investigation that’s going on?’”

“The infamous tarmac meeting between President Clinton and AG Lynch is a vivid example of why many Americans believe the Obama administration’s criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton was rigged,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton in a statement released today. “Now it will be up to Attorney General Sessions at the Trump Justice Department to finally shed some light on this subversion of justice.” …

Now why should they have to sue for these records with Trump in the presidency and Sessions as AG?

Who runs the show now?

Are the Obama people still making the decisions in the DOJ??

Consider if Trump were to release the records rather than them staying in house in some investigation, how that would be spun.

But if JW sues the records can be made public and the Justice department “forced” to act Trump isn’t the “bad guy” going after the former President in the predictable media narrative ... not even if he directs them to strike a deal outside of court for the records and maybe, just maybe, we’ll finally get some of these creeps.

Here’s hoping we truly get some full transparency for what happened in the most transparent(ly opaque) administration!

I am guessing that they talked, made deals and nothing was ever written down.

They know better than to write things down. That is why they use secret servers and private e-mail accounts. It is to evade FOIA records requests.

If they insist on breaking the law this way, maybe FOIA should also include a GITMO discovery process.

Truthfully I really doubt that the most incriminating records still exist, if there were any to begin with.

I just can't believe that Loretta lynch would walk out the door leaving files filled with incriminating evidence documenting her criminal conduct.

I think the shredders in the various Washington bureaucracies were running 24/7 from the morning of November 9 until the day a Trump appointee walked in the door.

Given the Wikileaks documents about the CIA surveillance programs, it’s pretty likely that somebody’s cellphone on that plane captured the conversation, and a transcript was produced in real time.
