Publix Grocery Covers the Cover of The National Enquirer on Store Display

Asked about why it was covered and was told it was company policy. First time I have seen this. This issue has Trump layout.

Publix is very conservative and pro family. Probably one of the best companies in the country! If they cover a magazine, its probably because it has racy covers most of the time.

OK.

Not in the 5 state area.

Why I’ve never heard of them.

It is a very good store. A welcome addition to the Chattanooga market a couple of years ago. There are other great chains. In Cleveland, Ohio, the Heinen’s stores are really nice, and there’s a Buehler’s chain in northern Ohio that is excellent also.

Nothing NSFW, but it does need magnification.

Ok, so.... The National Enquirer, is that old fake news, taking the void of today’s fake news...being legit news? If so, I’m going to start buying copies...

Eh? The map that came up directly for me, upon clicking the link, was for Kroger. But backing through the images, I found a map of Publix stores.

Southeast. Good stuff but pricey. Don’t know how they’d compare to Wegman’s and HEB.

Never heard of Wegman's or HEB either but here in California and Nevada we have Raleys and Safeway (Vons).

In my opinion, the number 1 grocery store in Florida.
Started here in FL. Stores are closed on Holidays so employees have family time. Good employment opportunities for those who have ambition to work up to Management.

Publix stores map - they are in most states.

That map's worthless. It says they're not in Florida, but I know for a fact that they are all over Florida.

They're confined to the southeast. See their interactive map.

In Publix, the practice is a recent development, after the election in fact. Angry Democrats seem to be the reason, with Trump as President elect and then President being too much for them to bear.

No it is not because of Trump. Publix has always covered pictures with too much flesh, racy sounded headlines, and articles that may not be family friendly. There are always three or four magazines/tabloids covered every time I go to Publix

I'm looking at the pic in post #42

No flesh, racy headlines or anything family un-friendly. Looks like it's because of Trump.

That would explain it, since I haven’t been in a Publix, since before the election. Thanks for that info.

Our Safeway in WA State covered all of the tabloids whenever they felt like it, which was whenever something uncomplimentary to liberals was featured. I got furious, called the manager, and reminded him that those checkout stand publications PAY FOR THAT SPACE, which they do. It worked.

Try that at Publix. Call the mgr, make a stink, say you know the distributor.
