I think the AHCA was "Obamacare lite."

I don't even blame the GOP House for drafting it in the first place. I just think it's ridiculous for them -- or President Trump -- to cast blame on anyone for failing to support it.

The whole charade was very not Trump-like at all. It was the equivalent of having him buy a crappy building in the Cabrini-Green housing project and calling it Trump Tower Chicago.

They were also willing to pass Bozocare even though they knew it would be disastrous for them on Election Day.

I almost fell off my chair laughing when I saw that dingbat Nancy Pelosi beaming on TV and congratulating herself and her fellow Democrats for the defeat of the AHCA. The Democrat Party has been in shambles across this country since 2010, and her agenda in Congress was a big reason for it.

Obamacare was the equivalent of a political suicide bombing for those morons. Why would we ever want Republicans to act the same way?

The HFC is the one SMALL group of people TRYING to keep the tentacles of government from continuously growing into our lives and NOW folks here are berating them??? CALL ME CONFUSED I thought WE all WANTED small government!!! Healthcare is the ONE thing you all should want control over your DAMNED lives depend on it!!!

“Why wouldn’t you want the Republicans in the House and Senate to at least put them all in a bill and let the Democrats explain why they are opposed to them?”

I’m betting you’ve been listening to Shummer et al. Do you actually believe they will bother debating the issue? I’m convinced the only way to get them to the table is to kill off enough of Obamacare to make it effectivly dead. Only then will enough of them sign on to a Rep health bill.

If only the GOP had the stones to weather that storm.

This is why 100 perent purity is always a loser!!! You have to have some common sense mixed in! Trump is a realist and not a party purist. Common sense conservatism...is the only way to move the ball forward!

Most of the GOP are as well.
That’s why some serious Cantorizing needs to happen before they give away our country.
The Senate is already at work on the next amnesty.

You're right about that. I also think we have every reason to be p!ssed off when the Republican leadership takes a harder line against the Freedom Caucus than they ever took against Democrats.

It's really very telling, and it explains why I have no political party affiliation at all -- and I never have.

See Post #13. That's the health care plan Trump came up with last year during the campaign.

Compared to that, the AHCA is not an act of "realism." It's a complete surrender.

How did we get to March 2017 and find Rand Paul sitting there as a stronger proponent of Trump's health care plan than Donald Trump himself? LOL.

The version wished by freedom caucus would be lucky to get 75 total votes in House.

I'm not seeing "versions" anywhere? And why was there this deadline of Friday and now Congress can't involve themselves with the issue now?

I strive to deal in facts.

And the simple fact is that the 2015 repeal of Obamacare has ALREADY gotten enough votes to pass the House. Heck the attempt to overide Obama’s veto gathered over 240 votes (about 55%).

AHCA was such a bad bill that it could not even get enough votes to pass (218).

I am not 100% sure that President Trump would sign a straight repeal. He campaigned on and was very vocal about supporting “government care”.

However, NOT signing it would be political suicide. It would be the equivalent of “read my lips”. If he were smart, he would sign it and spin it as now that we have gotten that Obama monstrosity out of the way, we can begin the work on real health care reform .... or some such.

The attendants of Fedzilla in Congress do not want to repeal Obamacare. Fedzilla derives enormous power from controlling all health care decisions and all medical records.
The purpose of Ryancare was to preserve that power.
Those were show votes that they knew would be vetoed.

Everybody is blaming the Freedom Caucus when there were an equal number of liberal Republicans bailing from Ryancare.

Forget about Healthcare. It’s over. Now we have to watch how Freedom clown will behave with Tax cut bill.

Freedom clowns are against tax cut because it will increase debt. What new strategy will come out from Koch and Rand Paul to defeat Tax cut bill.
