President Trump Realigning Geo-Political Alliances, and Few Paying Attention…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | April 15, 2017 | Sundance

Posted on 04/15/2017 5:35:06 AM PDT by bobsunshine

Maybe it’s because the complexity is difficult to distill; maybe it’s because some just can’t give President Trump any credit; or maybe it’s because the scope is too challenging to comprehend against the constant belittlement meme du jour; regardless of reason, President Trump is fundamentally realigning international geo-political alliances and almost no-one is connecting the dots.

President Trump obviously held a long-ball strategy with the Chinese; he’s described the approach in his books and lived the approach in his business life:

At the outset, position yourself at the furthest oppositional point when it costs you nothing; then leverage inward toward your opponent as they expend their resources to meet your stance.

Almost no-one is noting the scope of what President Trump has accomplished simply by positioning himself at the furthest extreme from the best interests of China, and then working his leverage back toward dual-interests as the Chinese expend capital to meet the point of mutual benefit.

President Trump has expended nothing other than his sheer will, and yet he has leveraged gains that are jaw-droppingly consequential.

♦ What’s the goal of identifying China as a currency manipulator? To stop China from manipulating currency, right? Well, arm-chair opposition says President Trump has reversed his position simply by ‘not doing something’. However, that opposition doesn’t seem to acknowledge the end-goal of the labeling has been achieved without expending an effort. The doing is unnecessary when merely the threat of the doing changes the behavior of the doer.

In two days, April 6th and April 7th, President Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. What actions has President Trump taken, other than ‘not’ doing something, and what actions has President Xi Jinping taken?

What this piece proves, without a shadow of a doubt, is that our previous presidents were (take your pick, kids):

inept
corrupt
*or*
diabolical

I’ve already tired of all the Trump-bashing, myself.

If he is able to bring the Chinese along as “enforcers” to neutralize/end the NK threat, he deserves the Nobel Peace prize right here and now.

I've read reports that the chicoms stopped their currency manipulation the day after the election. Could be fake news, or maybe they saw the writing on the wall. Hussein 0bama and his gang probably didn't know what currency manipulation was, or they would have been cashing in to line their own pockets. At any rate, there are much bigger fish to fry now that the NORKs are offering daily to nuke us, and if giving in on this point gets the chicoms to help, that's a major plus for us.

My first thought after reading this article was “I wish Trump had run in 2008.” On second thought: 2000

I'm thinking DJT is exactly where we need him, and at the right moment in history. We got 8 years of Obama, who was preceded by presidents who couldn't or wouldn't take on the administrative state behemoth. So it expanded and grew its tentacles deep into American life, not just government. It's currently the strongest and most powerful it has ever been.

Which means it's the right time, the right man, and we have the best opportunity to take it down.

The Chinese were the "enforcers" AND the US NAVY, JAPANESE NAVY, and RUSSIAN NAVY were there as "backup".

Well I think people are realizing this....but it’s disturbing to me seeing China, Russia, and Iran playing so cozy with one another now....Obama pushed them closer together with his sanctions but they’re operating far too closely for my taste today.

The left is too stupid* to get that his Bluster is one of his tactics. A lot of Freepers haven’t learned this reality of Trump going back to how he devastated his primary opponents and eventually Illiarily.

It’s a New York City variation on the concept of “Country Dumb” ...its a tactic as oldest as Sun Tzu Art of War

Truth is we should have figured this from the campaign ..the guy has master the art of pushing the other guys buttons to get them to do exactly what he wants. It what Scott Adams is talking about Trump being a Master Persuader

Really it’s fascinating as hell to watch Trump work. You got to take about 10 steps back to really see the big picture and the game that going on... it’s entertaining as hell

Trump has been correct all along in saying that Russia, China and even Mexico have had better leaders over the last few decades than us. Thankfully that is all changing now .

When I see how much wonderful work Trump has managed to achieve so far it makes me madder and madder by how much we have been short changed by corrupt, free loading globalists like the Obamas, Bushes and Clintons

I just scanned the article and the comments in this thread but here is something I realized this week.

Trump turned the Chinese against the North Koreans. Stop and think about that for a second. Did you ever think you ever see that?

Makes me think China feels the same way as Russia probably does, sucks they won’t be getting a free ride off us any more, but thank God for some competent non-ideologues to work with.

Trump is a killer negotiator, like others he has brought in. This is business now, not politics, luckily though Trump wants to run the business with conservative principles whenever possible. Go Trump!! Excellent article.

“Border crossings are reportedly down to a trickle - does this mean we don’t need the wall too?”
******************************************************************************
Yes, border crossings are down -— from the ridiculous high levels in existence when Obama had the Welcome Wagon out and when he ordered “catch & release” to be the policy. But down “to a trickle”? No way in hell — they’re just down to the normal river of illegals flooding across; it’s just that that river is no longer at flood stage.

We still NEED THE WALL — THE COMPLETE WALL. And we need to guard against the surreptitious arrival of “immigration reform” as a cover for AMNESTY.

Who is Sundance, the author of this excellent work?

I don't know but my first impression was this Freep post A Warning Against The “No Fly Zone Approach” in Syria – It’s Bait…

Just incredible work.

Incredable article by Sundace, the same who wrote the thread I pinged you to here.

Then great comments especially 11 & 26.

One line from the article:
