A federal lawsuit brought by a so-called "Dreamer" deported to Mexico has been assigned to District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel the jurist famously attacked by then-candidate Donald Trump over his "Mexican heritage" in a separate case involving Trump University.
Judge Gonzalo Curiel US District Court Southern District of California
Juan Manuel Montes, 23, filed a complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, alleging that the government did not provide any documentation explaining the legality of sending him back to Mexico. The suit seeks documents related to his case.
The case was assigned at random to Curiel, the Indiana-born judge whose impartiality was called into question by Trump last year due to what the then-candidate called Curiel's "Mexican heritage."

Wanna bet how this goes?
Ordinarily a recusal would be in order but it’s the minth
As I recall the criticism of the judge wasn’t his Mexican heritage, it was his Mexicanist activism.
What documentation is needed to explain the legality of sending a Mexican citizen who is in our country illegally back to Mexico? Deport the criminal and bar him for life from reentry into our country. One more down. Twelve million (or more) to go.
To set the record straight, Trump didn’t attack this judge for his Mexican heritage. He criticized the judge because he was a member of La Raza type organizations....in other words, sympathetic to Mexican insurgency in the US.
I would say he is well on his way to becoming a law abiding, taxpaying citizen. NOT.
The only question is how much money taxpayers will be awarding Montes for being inconvenienced.
The curious Curiel. A struggle lies ahead.
Judge Curiel is tight with La Raza.
Court records show he has four convictions: one for shoplifting in January 2016, and three for driving without a license, most recently three months ago.
Either you enforce immigration laws and secure the border or through judicial fiat legitimize the “reconquesta” and transform the culture. Few doubts on how this judge views his “duty”.
Citizen, you ask such foolish questions. I have two more: What standing does a non-citizen residing in another country have in a US court? Are his lawyers arguing that a non-citizen who has been deported and resides outside the US has constitutional rights?
Geez, even when Obama lets them skirt the law they still can’t follow the rules. It used to be a visa holder popped at the border could have his visa revoked right there.
No dreamer, the responsibility is on you to prove your citizenship.
The former illegal alien invader should be sued for having the gall to invade this country. Shoot him if he shows in court.
Maybe Trump wasn’t in love with him because this judge was a member of an organization which stated in a press release that they were going to target the Trump business interests!
I have lost confidence that anything is 'random'. We are being lied to by everyone all the time. I no have to reason to think this is the truth. It is a set up.
