RAHWAY — A longtime Democratic operative from Union County has responded to the Wednesday shooting of a congressman by calling for a “hunt” of Republicans. James Devine posted several messages on Facebook and Twitter following the Alexandra, Virginia, shooting of U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise and several others by a gunman with a history of violence and of making online rantings against Republican officials and their policies.

Even in the history books, there has never been anything worse. We saw what a big part of the problem is in those perhaps US inspired protests that went violent in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Kiev. Cell phone communication makes it much too easy to organize for chaos.
Everyone has selective memory about last summer. Trump supporters were attacked and held in disdain. We held back, figuring we'd give the ballot box a chance. Our side won. The maniacs won't accept defeat, and establishment 'pub swampthings are enabling them.
What's going to happen the next time there's an assassination attempt on a Conservative? When Black Lives Matter gets pushy? When the all-too-common shootings in inner cities create a situation that cuts across ethnic lines? When a protest group gets out of control and people and their property are threatened?
Assume this is a long, hot summer and the media and the DC crowd don't reverse their direction. I do fear yesterday could be the first shots of CW3 if it doesn't turn around.
