Rape used to be a capitol offense in many states. It no longer is. Only murder, treason, and the drug kingpin act are capitol offenses in the US.

In my opinion, rape should be back on the list.

The courts have totally screwed up capitol punishment as well. Criminals have been able to argue (sucessufully) that they are victims of:

- Racism

- Low IQ

- Victims of Poor Defense Lawyers

- Tough Childhoods

- Mental Illness

- "Temporary" Insanity

Or, that their rights were violated by anything they can dream up.

I am all for Due Process and the Constitution, as those rights protect us all. But evil has been allowed a field day in our courts for too long.

In my opinion, rape should be back on the list.

I would agree, but remember Gary Dotson? He spent six years in prison after being convicted of a rape that later turned out to be a false accusation. What f he and men like him were executed?

It used to be that the men in the family would ‘take care of’ rapists or attempted rapists. When the police or courts found out why someone killed or otherwise rendered the rapist ‘neutral’ ..... it was an automatic case dismissed.

The problem with making rape a capital crime is that it encourages rapists to kill their victims.

I support the death penalty. Indeed, I support it’s expansion. For example, burglarize a home 3 times and I would be for the death penalty. Armed robbery, twice! and your on death row.

But, having a daughter, and seeing this goons picture, I would want her ALIVE after the fact more than dead...........and I fear some room temp goon like this might just kill her if he knew the death penalty would likely be imposed on him if he got caught.
