G-20 shut Trump out on climate, strike deal on trade (The Munchkins make their own deal)

HAMBURG, Germany — World powers lined up against U.S. President Donald Trump on climate change Saturday, reaffirming their support for international efforts to fight global warming.

The final statement of the Group of 20 summit in Hamburg, Germany, underlined that the other countries and the European Union supported the Paris climate agreement rejected by Trump. They called the deal to reduce greenhouse gases “irreversible” and vowed to implement it quickly and without exception.

The other countries, from European powers such as Germany to emerging ones such as China and energy producers such as Saudi Arabia, dismissively “took note” of the U.S. position, which was boxed off in a separate paragraph that the summit host, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, made clear applied only to the United States.

Good for them.

Let’s see how long it lasts before they start begging us for help, financial and otherwise.

And .. the Compost continues it’s lies. It was Trump who told the Climate Changers that he refused to join them.

These people wanted America in the pot .. so they could pick our pocket.

Now, if they want their Climate junk science .. they will have to finance it on their own.

How can they shut us out of something that we don’t want to be involved in?

They may make pretense towards defiance but we all know that it’s just empty rhetoric. The Paris Accord ain’t going nowhere without the United States. It depends on America’s money and sacrifices in order for them to feeeeel better about what dirtbags they are.

No thanks.

“Will the G-19 try to pass along the cost to the U.S. via a climate import tax?”

I doubt it. There’s too many choices of goods and services for something like that to work.

A bald-faced lie.
The “climate pact” is going nowhere without American money.

For some reason, this reminded of the SST jet that was The Next Best Thing, Europe ridiculed us for not following in their footsteps and went their own way. They crowed for about 30 years, then faced reality and gave it up, never admitting they were wrong. I don't think they were ever profitable.

Trying to think of the things made in Europe that I’ve purchased in my lifetime.

A used Audi.

A set of Henkel knives.

A swiss army knife.

Some danish cookies.

Italian Olive Oil.

Canned Italian San Marzano Tomatoes.

A few bottles of Italian wine.

Everything except the tomatoes are replaceable.

Excellent points. About the canned Italian San Marzano Tomatoes; even these tomatoes can be reproduced here in the U.S. or somewhere else. Example; some of the best feta I've ever tasted has was while turning the Yarra valley near Melbourne, Australia. Their wine was pretty darn good too, lol 😊!

Mark twin (I think) said that if history didn't repeat itself, it sure echoes.
