Retired Green Beret Warns: “There Could Be A Nuclear Strike Against The United States Coming Soon"

For approximately the past five years, the Mainstream Media (MSM) and the Obama-administration supported research “think-tanks” for monitoring the North Korean situation have had a field day. They consistently (along with the brain-dead public’s crowds of naysayers) and intentionally understated the capabilities of North Korea. The experts in the field (such as Dr. Peter V. Pry, Admiral Bill Gortney, General Curtis Scapparotti) have not been able to be denied; however, they have been marginalized and made to seem to be “in conflict” with the prevailing, majority “view.” The “tyranny of the majority,” in this case, was needed to accomplish the objectives of the Obama administration: appear to be “strong” on sanctions, and “aloof” with diplomacy, i.e., Barack Hussein Obama II’s not “lowering” himself to deal with North Korea diplomatically.

The true objective of Obama regarding North Korea was to pursue a laissez-faire policy and allow North Korea to progress, becoming a viable threat, as it is today.

All of this was deliberately planned by Obama and his handlers. As far back as April 7, 2015, Admiral Bill Gortney (the former commander of North American Aerospace Defense, a.k.a. NORAD) gave a press conference in which he warned of North Korea’s capabilities with an ICBM, an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile…warned that North Korea could strike the United States with a nuclear warhead on an ICBM…he stated this in 2015. Six months prior, in October of 2014 Admiral Gortney stated that North Korea had nuclear weapons, had miniaturization capabilities, and could place them on missiles that could reach the continental United States.

Ok here is how EMP works...in a simplistic viewpoint.
After detonation, the free neutrons decay to a beta particle and a proton. Half life for a free neutron is about 13 min.
The high energy beta particles (electrons) align themselves with the Earth’s magnetic field and actually orbit the lines of force, thus generating the EMP.

This is why an Atomic Bomb generates a minor EMP as the number of free neutrons are so much smaller than with a LARGE Thermonuclear warhead.

When I say large, I’m talking about tons of Lithium Deuteride and not just 100lbs which is what you would find in a modern MIRV warhead.

The Starfish Prime warhead which caused the first observable EMP was over 1MT yield and weighed well over 4,000lbs, flew straight up, and detonated over Johnston Island.
Delivering a 4,000lb warhead 8000 miles and detonating it 200 miles in the air is beyond NK abilities.

There are much easier and cheaper ways of crippling the USA than attempting an EMP attack.

“Uncle Joe Biden assured us the Nokos would never get a delivery system for their nukes.”

Don't worry. We have people like Maxine Waters looking out for our best interest..

Not an expert on EMP... During the Desert Storm, Balkan conflict and Iraqi Freedom there were several reports of widespread power outages due to EA-6B and F-18G Growlers blasting high powered and directed microwaves during flight ops.
With the right frequency and power anything will fry.

Cargo container won’t work as detonation needs to be high in the ionosphere.
But you are right, cargo container attack would be much easier and cheaper.

That’s right! And Slo Joe has the perfect anti-missile system in case they do - a shotgun!

“but find it difficult to believe they have not been employed to date, if viable on a large scale.”

That’s because in some circles, detonating a nuke or two directly over the USA would be considered “hostile” or “unfriendly”.

And we have these spooky things called SSBNs. Look into them. Its a good way to get your country flattened. And no, that old saw “we might now know who launched them” wouldn’t work. We would know quickly, and there would be literal hell to pay for that nation.

And yes, an ex-SF guy may just indeed understand a rogue nuclear attack. Some are trained in delivering such and attack, and some are rather deeply involved in non-proliferation work.
Both would give you a fine perspective on, “crap, this would be rather easy for a bad guy to do to the USA”

With the accuracy of delivery being very questionable, especially with our anti missile defenses, we need to make sure we are super protective of the harbors around every major city in the USA. One in a ship or airplane is more of a concern.

“Are you calling me an idiot?”

Pretty much, but I was counting on you being a total idiot and letting that fly right over your head.

Fact is, to claim anyone not believing your fairytale means they are not sane places you in the insane category.

I know San Fran is bad, but it would be a tragedy to see the Golden Gate Bridge damaged or destroyed. And the old classic houses and streets, the Rice-a-Roni cable cars, the streetcars, Ghirardelli chocolate, Fisherman’s Wharf as cheesy as it is...

No, I would much rather see DC nuked instead. The only risk I see there, is that some sort of “continuity of government” plan might work perfectly, and the SAME sob’s who got us here would STILL be in charge. That would be a real let down.

“We also used non EMP anti power infrastructure weapons such as carbon fiber chaff to short out power grids and electronics.”

No need to state “EMP” in that story. That’s drama queen association stuff right there. The fact is there are weapons that can take out power lines, but to try to inject the “EMP” word is just stretching for an association of those weapons to EMP, which an association does not exist.

If the DoD is on record as using EMP weapons, then perhaps you can give us a clue as to where to find such a record?

“There’s a lot of that going around lately on America’s premiere web-site for conservatives.”

No kidding. We need to moderate that silly crap out of FR.

The titles with words like “this” need to go, such as “This Senator did something you want to know about”, with no information on who the senator is or what they did, just click to find out. Clickbait crap.

I’m looking for evidence someone has employed these in a region / country such as Chile, which has a shitty electrical grid to start with and is geographically isolated.

EMP use. Regional or national. That’s what I have asked for.

It’s been 40 years since I saw that initial and very theoretical presentation. This week it was conceded that renewables such as solar power cannot scale. Yet. They will, but not right now - - despite Michael Bloomberg’s mastubatory fantasies over knocking out Arab cash flow.

Can EMPs scale and knock out regional power? Cite, please.

“What would happen is that after a strike, the enemy could sit back and wait and watch.”

Yeah, “Watch”.... as something like 9 of the 18 Ohio Class constantly on patrol SSBNs vaporize your country. That 9 subs has the capacity to deliver up to 1728 warheads.

It really is a big stretch that someone can give America a nuclear death blow, and we won’t obliterate them. And no, that scam of containership or smuggled in and launched from Mexico won’t work. In an afternoon we will know who is behind it, and their nuclear obliteration is assured right after that. (assuming no Obama in charge)

As I understand, the power grids in this country are linked in a manner to pull power from another area adjacent if possible.

Like a mess of dominoes falling, a serious breach/damage to a large system could cause the load to switch elsewhere, and then it all could collapse.

About 12 years ago ( I think) there was a power failure in Pennsylvania & before it was stopped, it had spread into about 5 surrounding states.

Electronic transactions-—not just e-mail—were affected. Banking & ATM & credit card transactions were interrupted in mid-stride. It took experts at every bank over a year to match up all the debits & credits.

“What the hell would a ground pounder like a green beret know of the science and capabilities as nuclear weapons and delivery systems? Nothing, that’s what”

Not all, no. Don’t know this particular man’s background, but one assigned to the SADM program is extremely well trained in exactly that. One assigned to the intel world in non-proliferation might know a lot. One cross trained in the NEST Teams might be quite well educated.

So you might be surprised. They actually do more than HALO. You just don’t know it all when SF does something. Because unlike SEALs, a SF op doesn’t normally include book and movie deals in the operational planning.

The Ten Ton Gorilla in the room is the thought that everyone has in the back of their mind.

If a nuclear strike is inevitable where should it be?

So do please answer your question since you were so eager to ask it...

You know, not everyone has this kind of crass “thought in the back of their mind” I did not think about this until I read your post.

Sadly I am not surprised that someone would post this as I have been seeing an increasing number of crass comments like this where certain geographic areas should be “vaporized,” “nuked,” “quaked,” etc. based on the political leanings of the region.

This is not a question that should be posed or answered by anyone—unless they have leftist eugenicist tendencies...

I was serving in the Navy in ‘62 when those tests were conducted. I recall hearing some messdeck talk among the ETs about shielding electronics shortly before leaving the service in ‘64. It didn’t mean anything to me at the time.

San Fransicko!

Ah we have a taker. Pin the nuke on the liberal locations we don’t like.

So you wish San Fransisco to be nuked...I am guessing because it is a liberal enclave. Well, as I told another poster yesterday, hope you are not planning to use Free Republic much after that because Jim lives near there. John goes to San Jose to get servers fixed, etc...

Hope you have no use for internet because just about every tech behemoth has corporate offices there. Things like search engines, YouTube, EBay, etc.

Hope you don’t have money in stock market—it will not do well if said tech companies are nuked.

I think it is chilling to see the polarization in this country by both the left and right...Seriously some here sound like members of Antifa...

So it has come to wanting people we don’t like because of their lifestyle or politics killed in a nuclear attack...Does not really hold with the Free Republic credo of ...

Conservatives for God, Family, Country!

Full disclosure, I have a son who works there—cannot find similar work in any other US location. He is a conservative. However, even if he was a flaming liberal who could work in the 49 states, it is wrong to wish a nuclear attack on any city in the US.
