Democratic leaders shared few details to preserve suspense around the plan, which is scheduled to be unveiled Monday at an event in Virginias 10th Congressional District, where the party hopes to defeat incumbent Rep. Barbara Comstock (R). But some lawmakers, aides and outside advocates consulted on the new agenda said that it is expected to focus on new proposals to fund job-training programs, renegotiate trade deals and address soaring prescription-drug costs, as well as other issues. It is also expected to endorse long-held Democratic principles, including a living wage of $15 per hour and already unveiled spending plans for infrastructure that would expand broadband Internet access into rural counties.
The rollout comes as Democrats continue to struggle to sell a coherent message to voters. In a recent Washington Post-ABC News poll, 37 percent of Americans said that the party currently stands for something, while 52 percent said it just stands against Trump. The same poll found that Trumps overall approval rating has deteriorated to 36 percent making him the most unpopular president of the modern era at this point in his presidency.
Those findings resonate with party leaders who are still stunned by Trumps come-from-behind victory last year.

Hussein did just that. Got those pesky details all wrong. Now, real Americans can lose the house if the IRS isn't paid off for worthless healthcare insurance.
Moving on. All down the RAT memory hole. They want a do over. Rush's proposed motto - 'How Can We Fool Them Again Today'. Possibly a new name - The Din-du-nuffins.
A “Better Deal”
Kinda like the “New Deal”
And we all know how that crap sandwich has turned out.
Yeah, California is busy doing just this: Implementing a "living wage" - results? Try to find someone to help you in Lowe's, Macy's or any other "customer-centered" business. Good luck. Was in Panera a few days ago and they just installed brand new kiosks you can order from - my guess is that'll be the ONLY way to order by the end of the year. McDonald's too has installed brand new kiosks for self-ordering. My new WalMart has around 15 self-check outs, Ralphs, Home Depot and Target also have added more self-checkout lanes. Why? Cost of labor is too high.
“No Deal” >>> Known Deal
No Deal >>> Known Deal >>>> Dead Deal
The DNC spin meisters have run out of ideas.
Asks the blacks in Chicago if the Democrats are a better deal..
How about people who work get to keep there money and if you do not work you starve..maybe go back to rice and beans..
When welfare beats work we have a problem
Yeah, the filthy RATS trying their brand of Marxism all over again. Gee, we thought that Mao-bama was gone....how could we be so wrong?? He almost got away with it. Stupid electorate. More government control and taking away your rights.
Tammany Hall never died...it just moved more to the criminal left.
Rats: “The Art of the Con” or “For You Such a Deal!”
HAFA-Hate America First Again
Yeah, I know.
I live in California which has 22% of the U.S. population but 33% of all welfare cases - with productive people, tired of having the paychecks purloined by the government moving out in droves.
I may be forced out too, but at the moment I have elderly relatives that need tending to and I cannot abandon them - and they adamantly won’t move.
Anything to do with RATs is a “Commie Deal/No Deal or Screw You Deal.”
A Better Deal seems lame at best.
Bogus Deal
Raw Deal
Bait and Switch For Suckers Deal
The Democrats “Raw” Deal should have the acronym SOIL for Same Old Idiotic Liberalism.
Democrats continue to deal - from the bottom of the deck.
Renegotiate trade deals? Where have I heard that before???
“A Better Deal” is a differently abled slogan.
