Diesel.. better than electric, unless you count the taxpayer funded, outrageously priced teslas.
I suspect the same collusion here.. why can’t we get a fab diesel that gets killer gas mileage without the strip mined battery powered Pios?
Until we build nuclear plants for electricity, electric cars will be.. heavily subsidized, expensive and unnecessary.

No I didn’t, thankfully, but it was a close call.

It seems our choices are fascism or communism.

We can’t let the little people decide what car they want, or refrigerator, or washing machine, or ....

Everything has to be chosen by our betters.

They achieved the test result by programming a mode to run only during the test.

That isn’t illegal. Unethical yes.

Done all the time. And the only way that a diesel could pass.

this is fake news. Every single industry develops common engineering standards on all sorts of minutiae.

Developing a common set of specs is routine. It’s make supply chain management so much easier. The OEM issues a request for a part:

‘As per API spec 541.324 with exception of XYZ’

the suppliers know what heck they need to supply and it’s saves untold headaches and time.

Fake news

We can't live with the guilt...

I've never been into cars but have decided to try my hand at modifications.

To do list: cat-back exhaust upgrade, intercooler, bigger turbo. I'll be in the low 300's for HP.

Finishing up a brake upgrade, now. These guys are pricey but great quality. http://www.awe-tuning.com

Oh.

The domestic maker, the Japanese makers, and all of them, do this.

Often times it is done via trade organizations. Sometimes it is less open.

When governments Wave their magic green wand of regulations setting impossible standards and deadlines what can you expect.

Now Governments need to explain why all their regulations are the same (sounds like collusion).

Also how is it that all their testing says that the air is cleaner if all this cheating is going on?

Are they cheating on their numbers like they have with Gorebal warming?
