Busenhalter.
The biggest 2 problems here are they did it in secret, and they standardized a lot of weird stuff that really has nothing to do with problem solving. Open standards boards exist in a lot of tech but they work with open minutes so everybody knows what they’re up to, that way it’s problem solving not collusion. And deciding the speed of sunroof opening is just way outside the scope for any open standard board.
For a while after I bought my first oil burner (2009) I was scared silly that I'd do that. Now,of course, that's not an issue. But today I have to think carefully before I gas up a rental or a friend's car that I've borrowed. Also, when I lend my diesel to family/friends I demand that they not even consider refueling it.
France has announced that they’re going to completely ban diesel cars by 2040 and other European nations are following suit. Paris itself has already banned any diesel car made before 2000 and is implementing a progressive ban on diesels with the idea of banning all diesel cars in the city by the late 2020s. It seems the French finally figured out what that vaguely sticky, gray-brown residue was that was coating everything in Paris.
Because diesels, especially small diesels, produce quite a lot of carcinogenic emissions along with other undesirable effects.
I thought the nozzles were different on diesel and gas pumps making it impossible to fuel up with the wrong fuel.
If not, why not?
Something like 60% of the parts in any compact car sold in the U.S. are common to all of the compact car models.
Okay?
The US has the same cartel. It’s called SAE.
This is the environuts trying to shut down diesel engines in passenger cars, and it has been going on for a very long time.
Don’t disagree, it’s the form they used.
Hype. All industries cooperate on industry standards.
A common expression actually. Used in all German speaking areas (i.e. also Austria and Switzerland).
Over 50 percent of European cars are diesel.
Over 50 percent of European cars are diesel.
Of course there are left all of the diesel trucks, trains, tractors, construction equipment, boats, and other equipment. Diesel is the fuel of industry
No the nozzles are the same (other than color) unless you pick up the big truck diesel nozzle rarely found except on a fuel island set up to fill both left and right tanks simultaneously.
Auf de Schwäbsche Eisebahne is amol a Baierle gfahre, got zum Schalter, lupft de Huat. Oy Billettle zens so gued
That was actually from an Volkswagen advertisement here in the states. I have never heard that expression when I grew up in Germany
Wenn ist das Nunstück git und Slotermeyer? Ja! Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput!
“If diesels are toast, then bring more butter. They aint going anywhere.”
LOL Great comeback.
