Congress is as serious about eliminating the IRS about as much as they’re serious about eliminating Obamacare.
it will never happen - get rid of the IRS, and there will just be another agency with a different same, doing the same thing and being used in the same way
You need to get rid of the 16th Amendment.
25% across the board tax cut, fair to the prince and fair to the pauper:
Each American taxpayer gets to work tax free once every 4 yrs.
Simple, yet effective.
Congress critters are not serious about anything except lining their own pockets, getting reelected, and keeping the gravy train rolling. Who are they kidding? They will never get rid of the IRS.
Representative apportionment of taxes:
Divide last years spending down to a per senator and per representative basis. Send the tax bill to each state. Require the state to pay it’s federal tax bill to the US Treasury before it pays for any state spending. Allow the states to collect taxes from their citizens as they see fit. Do not allow states to tax citizens of other states.
The IRS shrinks to a small office in the Dept of Treasury.
Congress isn’t serious about anything.
No one understands the tax laws so unless you have the simplest 1040EZ return, you have likely made a mistake that can be bumped up to an audit or criminal prosecution if you become inconvenient to the Washington elite.
Who seriously thinks congress is serious about getting rid of the IRS?? Anyone??
bkmk
I hear that more states are considering getting rid of their income taxes. Texas, South Dakota and Washington have done fine w/o it for years. If enough states can survive with no income tax, the federal government should be able to also.
