Republican Senate must get rid of 60 vote NOW! It is killing the R Party, allows 8 Dems to control country. 200 Bills sit in Senate. A JOKE!

Yeah. Be aggressive, what do you have to lose.
?
The 17th Amendment should never have been. It seriously diminished the power of states versus WDC.
The Republicans could hold 90 seats in the senate, and they would still cave to the Democrats.
Dropping the 60 vote rule won't fix that. To govern, President Trump is going to have to find a way around the US Senate and rogue judges.
Does anyone still think the US is a Democracy or a Republic? We're a fascist state that is manipulated by a handful of well-placed swampthings.
The argument for the 17th Amendment was to stop corruption. The claim was the Railroads (and probably other “Robber Barons” - Note just using a term that would have been used back then. Not one I necessarily believe to be true!) corrupted and controlled the state legislatures. Hence the reform - the 17th Amendment to correct it.
Since its not likely you can go back to old method (To easy to demagogue - “Your taking away the right to vote from the poor & minorities - women and children harmed!”.) Something that combines the two approaches might be best. For example keep the current system but let the legislature recall, let the legislature pick a slate of candidates the people elect, Essentially a combined “party (all parties)primary” with the legislature selecting form the top three vote getters. I see many permutations that can be used to combine the state’s & people’s interest. However you are never going to entirely eliminate corruption. If as one ancient Greek philosopher said you have three people you then have “politics” chances are good one of them will eventually be corrupt!
I think you also need term limits!
Our president is calling for the end of the filibuster. I just sent emails to my senators. The argument is that the filibuster is badly hurting the country and is only an obstruction weapon. The Dims will take is fro0m us in a minute. We need a huge push now. We need our appointments in place. We want our tax buts and we desperately need to end obamacare . If you have time, raise hell with your Senator until this is done— we need it done this week!!
Recently, it seems they need to get rid of the 51 vote, too. How about an 18 vote, so actual conservatives can get something done? :)
It's an artifice which allows the minority to wield excess power, and should be dropped.
Mitch M, go to 51 Votes NOW and WIN. ITS TIME!
Are you being sarcastic or do you think that suddenly the GOP Senators are all going to get in line and fight for the country. I don’t see that happening.
Absurd.
The worthless Republicans can’t even put together 50 votes. Much less 51.
Here are the 8. I’d put it more at who, other than Cruz and Strange, among them doesn’t deserve a primary challenge. I’d say the other six do.
Republicans up for reelection in 2018:

Nebraska: Deb Fischer (Won by 56% in 2012) (Intent for 2018 unknown) Current age: 65
Nevada: Dean Heller (Won by 46% in 2012) (Running in 2018) Current age: 56
Tennessee: Bob Corker (Won by 65% in 2012) (Intent for 2018 unknown) Current age: 64
Texas: Ted Cruz (Won by 57% in 2012) (Running in 2018) Current age: 46
Utah: Orrin Hatch (Won by 65% in 2012) (Intent for 2018 unknown) Current age: 82
Wyoming: John Barrasso (Won by 76% in 2012) (Intent for 2018 unknown) Current age: 64
Thanks for posting this information, 9YL. It’s good to know. Hopefully Father Time will take care of the 82 yr. old traitor!
Alabama primary next month 8/15
runoff in September .
General election December 12
All of them.
This is how they want it.
The RATS are already in control.
They’re all RATS.
Could someone please explain how the 60 vote rule was implemented, where it came from, etc? Or post a link that explains this?
Thank you in advance.
Kind of a dumb thing to say when there aren’t even 50 GOP votes for most parts of Trump’s agenda.
Term limits for the Senate. Problem solved. Make em retroactive.
