I’m all from preserving Civil War History. Im sure you are too. But, I saw men wearing old fashioned Robert Byrd Klan white sheet outfits shouting at the leftists. Plenty of blame to go around.
That's because it were white supremacists and neo-Nazis who organized these protests, rallied the troops and showed up to crack commie skulls. It was David Duke and Richard Spencer. They seem to be the only ones who find these old statues of dead white guys worth fighting for.
Sure, there's are a lot of people here on Free Republic wringing their hands when the Leftist Taliban decided to start knocking down statues but when it came time to fight, only the guys with the Nazi banners who showed up.
When I see the leftists and Antifa attacking our American heritage I am reminded of ISIS smashing precious 3000 year old Assyrian statues, or the Taliban blowing up the Buddhas of Bamiyan. The Left, the Taliban, and ISIS are brothers under the skin.
