Former NSA Technical Dir: Dems’ Russia Hacking Story Likely Bogus
He said that during a prior Chinese hack of government systems, NSA agents were able to use “trace route programs” to track the “packets” of information back to a specific building in Shanghai.
Binney said that could be the reason Democrats did not want the FBI to look at their systems- ostensibly because they may not trace back to Russia.
He said a major file that was allegedly hacked from the DNC server was 1,976 megabytes in size and was transmitted in only 87 seconds.
“You made the point that it was moved too fast [that it] couldn’t have gone out over the internet,” Tucker Carlson surmised.
Binney said it likely was instead transmitted to a storage device.
Wait, wasn’t James Clapper head of the NSA?
And he never stepped forward to say there was no hack from the outside, thus allowing this charade to go on now for a year...
Here’s some more pretty interesting (and discouraging) info from Binney:
Posted at The Last Refuge:
1) Muellers Russia investigation so far has ONE FACT which is publicly known: that Russia hacked the DNC. The hack is the essential aspect of the Russia interference issue.
2) Therefore, Mueller CANNOT logically evade investigating the hack.
3) The article cited by Sundance makes it crystal clear that Mueller can find out immediately whether the Russians hacked the DNC by asking the NSA, which has all the information necessary to make that determination.
4) Mueller cannot drop the hack after he finds out it was not a hack or by Russia. When Mueller finds out, logically he will have to discover what it was if not a hack or Russian. The hack is too integral to the Russian investigation to not investigate.
5) Assuming the hack was a leak as described by the article, Mueller logically will look into any evidence regarding who downloaded (stole?) the information from the DNC server. Following the leak will be an entire investigation in itself.
6) Mueller will also necessarily examine the role of the company used by the DNC to falsely propagate the hack story, as well as the role of the FBI. Specifically, he will be interested in whether the hack story was a mistake or a fabrication, and who was involved in the propagation of the false Russian hack story.
7) Without going into speculation, it is not hard to imagine the actual circumstances of an investigation into the false Russian hack story: no peril for Trump, opening Pandoras box for the Democrats.
Conservative Treehouse was all over the martin/zimmerman case. When they get on one of these, they ride the story hard and put it away wet. There is little question what happened once they’ve done a full dissection of the story.
My personal favorite site.
Mueller is not investigating Russian collusion if he is still after Trump.
At this point the defense of anyone Mueller indites will demand the investigation of the DNC computers.
Big Question: Did Debbie Wasserman Schultz have the Awans involved in the DNC servers in any way?
DWS employed the Awans, particularly Imran Awan, for all her Congressional Democrat IT.
They had her confidence (or somehow had her in their power).
They had her iPad and passwords.
DWS, as head of the DNC, would have IT needs, and she already had IT people she worked with. Is it not likely she would use them for DNC work at some level?
Scrutinizing the Awans is crucial to the DNC data theft case, on which the Russian hacking narrative rides. If Seth Rich was the guilty party, “the Awans” will be the defense unless they have been eliminated as suspects.
Thanks for the link to get here... Interesting that no one had taken on Bill Binney ... they ignore him, don’t cover him, but NO ONE had taken him on or stood up to him or called him a liar.
That’s telling.
I saw an interview with Binney - he comes across as an honest man who’s made the decision he’s OK with ‘standing alone’ if that’s what it takes.
Impressive dude.
