A few decades ago antagonistic protesting groups were never allowed to get anywhere near each other.
In VA, they were intentionally marched into each other. The violence was not prevented it was facilitated. Violence appears to be precisely what the (D) Mayor and Governor wanted.
The RATS ran a ‘libertarian’ to siphon off exactly the 4pts that would have given Cuccinelli the win. Plus massive voter fraud.

McAuliffe as well as the mayor and police chief should face federal charges for violating the civil rights of those marchers in Charlottesville who were given a permit to assemble and then denied the right and ambushed.....
No getting around it - "the Protesters" were legally in the right and the Left incited and committed violence because that's what they do and they thought that the labeling of the protesters would give them all free rein and stay out of jail credentials.
Hope they have enough pictorial evidence to prosecute a few of the Leftist terrorist thugs.
