Tucker Carlson Lets Loose on 'Hypocritical' Media over Bannon
PJ Media ^ | 08-19-2017 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 08/19/2017 7:06:10 AM PDT by Michael van der Galien

On his Fox News show yesterday evening, Tucker Carlson went after the hypocritical media who targeted Steve Bannon from the first day he was brought on board of Donald Trump's presidential campaign until yesterday when the president finally gave them Bannon's scalp.

"The funny thing is, that in some important ways, Steve Bannon was more traditionally liberal than the liberals who spent the last year shrieking for his head,” Carlson said. "Not that you would know that from the coverage, everything is identity politics now, so his ideological opponents attacked Bannon from the very beginning as a bigot."

And then:

"It was always a ludicrous charge. Bannon is a flawed guy, but not in that way. Just yesterday he called white nationalists ‘buffoons and losers.’ It’s not Steve Bannon who is obsessed with race and identity, it’s the activist left and the morons who do their bidding in the media."

Later on, Tucker continued:

"There was never any real attempt in the press to understand or critique what Bannon was saying. Ideas and policy are not interesting to reporters, mindless tribalism is, so that’s what they cover. This is toxic, it obscures the issues that actually matter. Instead of looking at real problems like rampant drug addiction or economic inequality, and those are real problems, and trying to find solutions to them, the left is obsessed with finding and enjoying destroying the imagined racists in our midst."

Whether you're a conservative who loves Bannon or hates him, his being forced out has to worry you. Bannon was one of the administration officials who truly understood the Trump platform and why he was elected. All the folks who now remain in a position of influence never had any feeling for the Trump agenda or his appeal.

Can’t disagree with anything Carslon said.

From what I read, Bannon was not scalped. He is apparently on a mission of left wing destruction that could not be accomplished from within the White House.

The presstitutes are going to be shocked when their organizations die.

I agree with Tucker. And if he’d tended to his knittin’, advising Trump, quietly pushing congress critters and senators to pass Trump’s agenda, etc. Instead, he had to run rampant shouting, “Hey! Looka’ ME!” and calling people names. He’s better outta there.

I would not be surprised if Bannon and his new financial backers buy CNN from Time Warner/AT&T as part of the purchase agreement.....

AT&T has already stated they may spin CNN off as they complete their purchase of Time Warner....

But, but, but, that’s not what Axios says!

Pardon me while I spray myself with my news source and gyrate like a hot millennial.

I think he realizes this agenda won’t be implemented until their are more people in congress that buy into it.. Need to primary repuplicans that currently don’t buy in and best way for him to do that is outside with his media empire he has.. More investment is coming to do even bigger things.

I believe Bannon’s days were numbered once Kelly became chief of staff. It wasn’t a matter of politics, either. Kelly was brought in to institute a much-needed rigid hierarchy in the White House, and that was completely alien to Bannon’s personality. Kelly might be the best White House Chief of Staff in history, but a fabulously wealthy and successful man like Bannon has no interest in answering to someone who has spent his career in the military and then as a civil servant.

“I would not be surprised if Bannon and his new financial backers buy CNN from Time Warner/AT&T “

Pipe dream, never happen. The left has a death grip on the MSM because they know the power it is. FNC hit em by surprise and they have been ceaselessly chipping away at it
to the point where is it maybe 30% conservative. They would never let CNN get turned. Never.

My wife and I noticed Tucker looked very serious through the entire show. He appeared shaken by the day’s events.

Hardly a pipe dream.....the ATT board cares little for anything more than cash......CNN is content not transport, not their area of focus...

It would however start a bidding war with liberal cash rich companies like Google and Apple.....Their ideological liberal minds would meltdown over the thought of Bannon owning CNN

Yep - Bannon recognized that he couldn’t do his best work w/o bringing a lot of criticisms from the Left that might “stick” (at least in some folks’ minds). He probably talked with trump and told him he needed to let Bannon go so he could work with effective efficiency.

What's being reported backs you up.

Bannon wasn't really happy in the WH, and it was clear to the objective among us that he wasn't really West Wing material.

He needs to start a new network or something...oh wait.

The identity politics of the left is the current iteration of Lenin'sWho? Whom? - who is to rule whom? Ideology is important but it is useful to sort out the Whos from the Whoms. As the Whos gain power more and more segments of them are shoved over into the Whom category until only one small clique has the power. When that clique has seized all the power then the infighting continues among individuals of that clique for total one-man control. It is the same with all totalitarian ideologies, including, of course, Islam.

That would be sweet. Fox collapses into the arms of the MSM or into insolvency and CNN replaces Fox as the Conservative alternative.

Even better....Fox remains moderate Republican and CNN turns conservative.....

Then watch liberal heads explode everywhere.....

News would then be bearable to watch in Airports again.....
