A judge can not quash a pardon. And a pardon can come at any point in the process.
But a pardon does not erase the conviction, it only removes the consequences of a crime.
There have been several Supreme Court cases involving pardons. The first in 1833. In that case Chief Justice Marshall said, “A pardon is an act of grace, proceeding from the power entrusted with the execution of the laws, which exempts the individual on whom it is bestowed from the punishment the law inflicts for a crime he has committed.”

The whole point of the POTUS pardoning someone is over the idea that a criminal conviction is unjust. Joe Arpaio wasn’t running a gang or killing people. I could care less that he got pardoned over an unjust charge of contempt by a court that disregards our nation’s laws.
I flipped to CNN and MSNBC and they are treating it like Trump has committed the Lizzie Borden axe murder!
President Trump MUST be impeached over this. This act is much worse than Bill Clinton's Lolitta Express involvement (rape of little children/pedophilia) and Hillary's felony destruction of evidence. /sarc
