People should keep in mind that full brake system failures are extremely rare nowadays since all vehicles (by law) must have redundant hydraulic systems. You might have a partial loss of braking, but not total. You can also have loss of power assist, but that just means you have to push harder on the pedal. Plus, all vehicles have emergency brakes.
The brake failure explanation is pure BS.
