It is critical that we read and understand the parallels between Mao Zedong, Abimael Guzman and the Antifa movement. Mao Zedong wanted to become a teacher (see Wikipedia on him) and Abimael Guzman was a professor of Philosophy. It is apparent that both men, being fairly well educated, used that education and knowledge to manipulate disenfranchised masses to gain followers to secure absolute power for themselves. The lack or vacuum of values in their societies (China and Peru) contributed to their rise to power. We are seeing the exact same pattern develop in this country.

If the government does not move quickly against the Antifa movement, in a very real probability, the group will be able to secure enough followers in its ranks to present a serious challenge to the government. History bears out this premise.

If the Left disappeared tomorrow, we would have a lot less problems in the world.

Peru’s “internal conflict”, the Shining Path insurgency was conquered due to the leadership of then President Alberto Fujimori. No question countless Peruvians were the “rubber meeting the road” but it was Fuji’s stand-up leadership that carried the day.
Nearing the end of his third-term as president, Fuji was accused of human rights violations connected to putting down the Maoist Sendero. Fleeing to Japan he was extradited to Peru. Standing trial he was convicted and sentenced to 25-years in prison.
In my opinion, in combating the Sendero Luminoso,Alberto Fujimori was faced with a brutal enemy not unlike isis, antifa or blm.
Peru should be ashamed of how they’ve treated this man.If not for him, Peru would very easily have become a Maoist cesspool.
