Let me be the first to say:

I advocate for a pre-emptive strike against Norklandia.

That strike should include, at least, tactical nuclear bunker busters.

And we should ensure the entire world knows that we will engage in existential war with anyone who tries to stop us.

Because Norklandia nukes and missiles are an existential threat to the USA. And they are being wielded by a madman, in an insane regime who constantly threatens our annihilation.

I really don’t think deterrance would work the same with Norklandia.

It might not work AT ALL.

Waiting to find out is....a bad idea.

I wonder if there is any way to hack those missiles so they land back on Nork, OR what would be interesting, make it look like a malfunction and it heads west and detonates over Beijing. DOH! Then we offer our services to China to take out Tubby.

Time to move another division’s division artillery to the DMZ, add another THAAD, send an Aegis destroyer and mobilize the 82nd Airborne.

Boxed in, NK has several targets in mind and will play the MAD game. Seoul and other parts of SK are a concern in the mediate, however targeting the Takahama nuclear power plant would create more wide-spread destruction, (All without firing a nuke). NK can hit that with ease if they sense any type of attack coming.

Should a pre-emptive strike and the potential commitment of 10s of thousands of US troops be something debated by the people’s representatives in Congress as opposed to the decision of a single person?

There is little or no point to a preemptive strike that doesn’t result in the unification of Korea.

If they decide to go, they must go all the way.

I agree with a pre-emotive strike. However, using tactical nukes...
