Yes words have meaning, so perhaps you may understand the truth of the old saying that “war is diplomacy by other means.” The Treaty of Versailles was indeed the beginning of WWII though many didn’t see it until Hitler invaded Poland. Many naïve Americans didn’t see it even then.
