I’m going to temper my desire to play Taps for the Democrat Party because I remember all too many stories saying the GOP was kaput and would never win another national election.

A friend once likened politics to a huge blanket covering all of the populace. Each person under the blanket moves in his Brownian fashion in whatever direction his agenda takes him, and carries with him a bit of the blanket. Occasionally, due to randomness, the blanket moves in one direction as opposed to the others. Pundits instantly seize on this by saying, “Look, the public is doing X.” When, in reality, its just randomness.
The populous splits into roughly three categories; Left, at 40%, Right, at 40% and the Center at 20%. All elections are an attempt to influence the vote of the 51% of that 20% in Center. These are people who, if asked on the street, can’t name a single Supreme Court justice. They can’t name the Vice President. The don’t know the difference between the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. They mostly vote for a candidate because he has nice hair or he reminds them of somebody they liked. I don’t think these people can “wake.”

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Two ‘men’ educated in one of the most ‘prestige’ universities of our land. That certainly says so much about our education system, what it was then and what it still is today. America’s voters, they’ve been given the same education. This nation is infested with such ignorance.

So the party had a staff ten times bigger, and set records for NOT raising money. Does the DNC understand the definition of productivity? Efficiency? Effectiveness? How about bankruptcy?
