“Need a national protest letter to the NFL.”

Ditto for all their major advertisers!

I didn't know that we were paying for those flyovers and national anthem salutes.

Screw that.

Does that go for college games and NASCAR events, too?

With the billions of dollars The NFL, MLB and NASCAR rake in every year, they can't throw us a bone and pay for that themselves?

They're already gouging those who attend the events. Just gouge them an extra couple of bucks and pay for it themselves.

Me, too. Excellent idea, I don’t want my tax money paying for the this. Let the fans know why this is being done. It makes me sick that the great times people used to share with families at a sports event has been ruined by the Left eroding our history and traditions while perpetuating the idea that all non-white people are victims of oppression. Therefore, the Evil Flag and Anthem are to be disrespected.

I think the military should sever all association with the NFL for now.

You go right ahead.

I already wrote to Anheuser Busch and told them to not waste money on a Super Bowl commercial as I would not be watching.

I also told them that at least the Clydesdales knelt

I wonder if any team will view this as an opportunity to increase their fan-base?

You have four possible team attitudes towards the flag protests:

Type 1: Total Disrespect. Team fully supports disrespecting the flag, the whole team is involved, including coaches and maybe even owners.
Examples: The Pittsburgh Steelers. The Seattle Seahawks.

Type 2: Tolerating Disprespect One or more players are protesting, and the club is tolerating them. Examples: 49ers with Kappernack last year.

Type 3: Punishing Disresepct One or more players try it, and get suspended or fired.
Examples: none that I am aware of

Type 4: Patriotic Respect The entire team makes a point of doing a first-class job on the Naitonal Anthem, at attention, hands on heart.
Examples: Nobody so far.

If some team or teams decided to go full Type 4 they might pick up a lot of fans. Sort of really BE America's Team, like the Cowboys used to claim to be.

It is, after all, a competitive entertainment business, and i see a real opening for clever marketing here.

I'd by that team jersey just to piss off all the tards supporting the Seahawks in this area.

I had always viewed flyovers as a dramatic amplification of the "patriotic high" I get from saluting the flag and singing the National Anthem.

Curiously, I always viewed flyovers as a service to patriotic fans -- and not to the team or the NFL...

~~~~~~~~~
Of course, cutting off flyovers and color guards would probably suit the kind of anti-American "fans" that would attend a kneeling felon's game just fine -- plus cutting the team/league expenses -- and rewarding anti-American behavior.
Sorry -- I don't see the effectiveness in your proposal. Please enlighten me...
Re my #39: having read through the thread, I better undertand your position -- especially if the NFL is charging the military for the 'privilege' of providing flyovers and color guards.
However, I'd still like to see a flyover -- of two fighters: one per sideline, to let loose a 20 mm burst up the sideline -- right in front of the kneeling felons.
If that isn't effective, the next flyover should be a pair of A10s with GAU-8s... '-)
Perhaps that would wake the imbeciles up to who and what they are dishonoring.
