A gunman reportedly opened fire on a country music concert outside the Mandalay Bay casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday evening.
Las Vegas Police have closed I-15 from Tropicana to Russell Road, and are asking people on the Strip to avoid the area. Reports indicate at least one gunman opened fire on crowds gathered for the Route 91 country music fest.
Update 12:22 a.m. PDT: Reuters reports that 14 of those who arrived at area hospitals are “critically wounded”:
Country music singer Jason Aldean was reportedly wrapping up his music set when the attack occurred. Video footage posted to social media captures the sound of rapid gunfire.

I saw that video. Cycle rate seems slow for an AK or M/AR platform. I an thinking (at this point) a garage mod to and AK or slide fire mod to an AR. Right now they are saying the shooter was near the top of the Mandalay. If true that is a good distance.

Fox just interviewed a firefighter first responder saying he personally pronounced up to 20 people dead.
I stopped attending scheduled events where there are crowds some time ago. I don’t go into covered malls, big bars or big restaurants. I still go to WalMart. I used to carry sometimes, always to church. That policy just got modified a bit.
