simply trying to let the truth lead....

Sure. ISIS would never lie.

I think it's pretty odd for a Freeper to come to the defense of ISIS, the way you're doing. I mean, you were pretty indignant in your first response to me.

And now you say you're "just trying to let the truth lead."

What "truth" would that be, except the claim that ISIS made this morning? Why would you assume they're telling the truth, without a shred of corroborating evidence to back it up?

Why are you reflexively taking the side of ISIS here? Are you a supporter? A member? Why the hell are you spouting such crap on Free Republic?

Kindly GFY. If you actually look, you'll see another article referencing that ISIS, unlike most jihadi outfits, have not falsely claimed things unless they were involved. There was one exception - another casino attack.

So, the question should be asked - if ISIS has not traditionally claimed atrocities unless they were involved - why would they do this now? It reduce their credibility significantly and makes the response by their "official" media outlet, much less believable.

If you knew your ass from a hole in the ground, you would be able to comprehend I wasn't "reflexively taking the side of ISIS here?"

Suck it.

Yeah, ISIS would never lie...

You must not pay much attention to news reports of terrorist attacks. ISIS lays claim to terrorist attacks so often, it's nearly become a running joke.

In the last hour, the FBI has cast strong doubt on ISIS' claim of responsibility for the killings in Vegas.

Kindly GFY.

I see you're still offended that I dared to challenge ISIS. I still think that's pretty odd behavior for a Freeper.

ISIS claims are legion.

Most of us get so accustomed to them, we tune them out most of the time.

You didn’t know this?

Yes, the FBI did reject the ISIS claim. However, I no longer trust the FBI. The corruption within the FBI has been shocking.

Then why don’t you simply show me which terror claims where ISIS takes false responsibility? Should be pretty simple to assemble a big list if they do it all the time.

But even with that, it is hard to believe he could get so many hits!

Not going to bother wasting my time on you.

This has been going on for the last nearly 70 years.

Terrorist groups lie, make false claims, and deny the very things they do. They lie when it would be easier to tell the truth.

It’s okay that you don’t know this.

I wouldn’t want to admit I as that ignorant, but hey, it’s a free world.

Silly man. I didn't say that terror groups lie and make false claims. I was specific on purpose. ISIS has been quite the exception - only claiming those, with one exception, where they've been involved.

But that's okay. I didn't expect you'd be able to refute it.

And I didn’t expect you to be able to understand a 66 year old man who isn’t going to waste his time on a child-like individual.

Thanks for the response.

_________

Terrorism analyst Paul Cruickshank suggests in a Twitter thread Monday that ISIS’s claims seem to be getting less reliable. The group claimed credit for a June attack that killed 37 people at a casino in Manila, Philippines, which appears to have actually been a botched robbery by an indebted gambler. ISIS also claimed, after a British Airways flight at Charles de Gaulle Airport was evacuated last month, that it had planted bombs there. There were no bombs, and the evacuation was due to an unrelated incident. Slate

Last October, they claimed to have shot down a US A-10 Warthog in Syria, which the US Central Command (Centcom) denied. It also claimed a "covert unit" assassinated an American officer working at the Incirlik Airbase in Turkey, but the US government said this was false. The Independent
