Here’s a transcript: ·A man in the audience named Bill asked Tom Brokaw, one of Megyn Kelly’s guests, “We’re constantly bombarded with the news day and night. When does this become harmful to us and our children?”
·Tom Brokaw said, “We are where we are because of the power of people who wanted these kinds of guns, and the NRA managed to organize them and get them as a political force in America. So the question is, if you’re not happy with what has happened, your individual obligation as a citizen is to organize on the other side. And that’s possible as well. The NRA has a lot of money, obviously, and if you’re running against the NRA... you’re portrayed as a traitor against America. You know, you’re not in favor of people who have weapons... We’re a long way away from that second amendment in which we said that a well regulated militia is important to our country...” ·Tom Brokaw kept talking, but Megyn Kelly interrupted by saying, “Got it. Gotta leave it at that, Tom. Thank you to our entire panel. We’re up against a hard break, apologies Tom Brokaw. Sorry, they’re wrapping me hard because we got a hard break coming up. But listen, this debate will not end now. There are people who defend the second amendment who believe you can’t legislate against evil, and those who believe we have to have an honest conversation. Gotta leave it at that. We’ll be right back.”

I’m fine. How about you? It’s really hard to listen to the news, even the posts here. Do you recall this time with Obama? Every single stinking day there was something that made you wince.
With Trump, every day we rejoice, only to have the push back from the left, and the media and his own party.

On Kelly, I have to say that I think she cut off Brokaw because he had his talking points, and didn’t answer the question asked. So, let’s give her some credit.
More than 50 people were murdered yesterday but more than 50 million disarmed citizens have been murdered by their governments.

It’s horrifying and sensational and makes for truly engrossing news but, the fact remains, you’re far more likely to be murdered with someone’s bare hands than by an assault rifle. You’re definitely more likely to be shot with a hand gun... especially if you live in Chicago, St. Louis or Baltimore.
“A well balanced breakfast, being necessary to the healthy start of the day, the right of the people to keep and eat food shall not be infringed.”
Who has the right to food? Is the answer “a well-balanced breakfast” or is it “the people”?
The concept of the militia is not central to the Second Amendment. The right belongs to the people.
Moron Brokaw doesn’t even know that in the 1700’s, “well-regulated” meant “well trained.”
didn’t someone post here or did I hear today on the radio, that if you add all the people killed in mass USA shootings since 1900, it would still be less that the number of people shot in Chicago over a weekend or maybe year to date.

Watched the President in Puerto Rico—cannot imagine Obama doing that meeting. Trump did this regularly meeting with his teams on large construction projects.

“Hard breaks” are real. The computer is going to go to a commercial in 5..4..3..2.. seconds and there’s nothing anybody can do about it. I’ve heard this on the radio many times, including on Rush’s show.
CNN never talks about “going to a hard break” when they cut somebody off — they just “lose audio” and go on to the next guest or segment.
Democrats have been blaming the NRA since 1963. in 1968 they really went wacko on the NRA calling it the “National Rifle Assassinations”.
At that time the NRA had less than a million members which soon went well above a million, no lobbying arm yet they were reviled as a lobby, now they DO have a lobbying arm.
I guess Tom lied when he said he was retiring about 50 years ago...what a gas bag he is.
