I'm a Virginia resident and am not surprised national politics are playing into this race.

If the election is close, the Democrats will steal a victory.

Glad to see Gillepsie workers hitting up my block today. Would have been nice to see them promoting Stewart, but glad for any activity, especially in Arlington.

I suppose it matters less at a state level if Gillespie does not firmly support President Trump. He will at least be conservative *enough* to turn back a lot of the damage done by McAuliffe.

Note: the Virginia House of Delegates is Republican by an almost 2/3rds majority. 66(R) to 34(D). But Republicans have just a slim majority in the senate. 21(R) to 19(D).

So a Republican governor will strongly help Virginia.

I hope no one specifically told Slow Joe to “go to bat” for the satanic candidate ... Slow Joe does exactly as ordered!

Rep Ed Gillespie is probably a swamp critter. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Gillespie

Edward Walter Gillespie (born August 1, 1961) is an American Republican Party politician and lobbyist.
Gillespie, along with Democratic Party member Jack Quinn, founded Quinn Gillespie & Associates, a bipartisan lobbying firm.

Career politician and lobbyist. Swapped from Dem to Rep but still founded a company with a dem.

So the message is; don’t go for whoever Trump and Pence support. I think they sort of have to, being members of the rep party. Check Bannon’s preferred candidates instead.

A bat would be a better governor than McAwful.

Why would Pence bother. Virginia is a deep blue state now. No republican can win statewide

It is possible that Obama/Biden going to STUMP for the dimwit Democrat may hurt his poll numbers.

Prayers for team Trump and Pence!
