NK will not resume six party talks without change in US policies

North Korea will not return to the six party talks unless issues with the US are resolved, a high level North Korean diplomat said Saturday.

According to reports citing participants of the Moscow Nonproliferation Conference, North Korean Foreign Ministry’s Director General of North America Affairs Choi Sun-hee said that Pyongyang will not return to six party talks, and that the country will only negotiate with the US.

“Suggestions from various countries are welcome, but as the US is the country that is trying to pressure and to bring about the collapse of North Korea, the issue must be resolved with the US,” Choi was quoted as saying.

I found this article funny! I guess the Dictator of North Korea has realized that Russia is very mad at him; that China is very mad at him; and clearly South Korea and Japan would be mad at him.

I do not know for sure the other two parties would be, but I assume it would be South Korea and Japan.

Maybe Las Vegas quoted 5-1 odds against him versus 1-1 odds if he goes head to head with US.

In other words, he has made so many people mad at him, he figures reduces the number of enemies (from 5) to 1 is his best hope.

LOL! Just LOL!

I actually agree, somewhat with NK. The other countries at the table bring nothing (unless one is South Korea). From the NK perspective I can’t see any benefit to talking to anybody but us.

The problem is that the NK is nothing but a pack of liars and there is no point in discussing anything with them when experience has shown us that their word and written agreements are worthless.

This is simple to explain to even the most brain-dead of Liberals. See the Kims have always wanted one on one talks with the U.S. because the Cult of Kim sees itself as a World (now Nuclear) Power and never got over the fact that the U.S. during the Korean War saved the South and drove them out!

They have been demanding Single Party Talks for years because they want to be treated like the old USSR.

We need to send a Lieutenant Colonel or Commander over there to explain “MIRV” and other technical terms to his leadership group.

I believe I read that this concept was explained in excruciating detail to Kim’s dad; you know, first strike, second strike, third strike, etc.

I blanch when I think who might take this kid’s place. The grandfather was wily and smart, the father didn’t seem all there and this guy is very odd.

The Chinese already informed NK of MIRVs.
They got the Loral Space data from the Clinton kickback campaign.

Well they might talk to Taiwan.
If they rattle the nuclear saber they should assess how the other nuclear powers are going to react.

Until, the NorKs put the Moe Howard look alike up against the wall and change their policy, the US should not have any talks with them.
I would consider an exchange, of Un for all of our liberals.

They are signalling a willingness to talk. Even a desire and a need to talk. This can only be a good sign. They’ve gone from we’re gonna nuke Guam to we’re not going back to 6 party talks in less than a month. Keep up the pressure and increase the rhetoric and sanctions

“From the NK perspective I can’t see any benefit to talking to anybody but us.”

What do we need to talk about? The one and only thing we want from NK is for them not to blow up Korea or Japan, otherwise we want or need krapall from them. Why is it up to the US and only the US to pay NK to not blow people up? Why cant Germany pay them?

Pissonnk. Tell them if they wish, we will nuke the whole damn country back into the Stone Age and embargo ALL imports from China. The Chinese aren’t helping the situation one bit. Under the table, they are supporting and encouraging rocket man to give the US a poke in the eye.

Talking never hurt anyone, so let’s tell them...see what happens.

Young people have no idea about the Loral deals. These were involved in congressional hearings when the stupid Republicans allowed dozens of people under subpoena to send a lawyer-written letter declining to testify. With recent closed door hearings I now think that Republicans have learned nothing or are complicit

Just imagine the visuals of campaign ads with Dem supporter after Dem supporter pleading the Fifth. .... of course after very clear questions outlining the accusations (alleged crimes).

Well they might talk to Taiwan.

One could make the case that to counter balance the threat of a nuclear North Korea we should station or allow friendly local countries to have their own nuclear arsenals. South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines come to mind.

Perhaps the mere threat of a nuclear Philippines and Taiwan will give China cause to be more persuasive in its suggestions to Rocketman?

Taiwan has had a Nuclear Arsenal since the early eighties.
Like Israel, they don’t use it for saber rattling.

I had to break your code. What if Fat Boy dead (no war)?

There is a SUCCESSOR to President Kim.

If the 5-on-1 decides on resolving situation by killing just one person, and North Korean other leaders agree, is that wrong? Does it have to come up before UN? Or just something happens that it does not appear to be murder (President Kim inside mountain when it collapses, as an example).

I strongly oppose the appeasement done by JFK's father and Chamberlain and that CRAZY GERMAN adolf.
