With that headline the AP is clearly trying to create a divide between POTUS and the Intelligence Community.
It is my understanding most of the Intelligence Community are on board with President Trump.
It’s mainly the “Political” appointees, many at the high levels, some in the mid levels, that are a loud powerful minority. They want to throw out a legally and lawfully Constitutional election.
Make no mistake that the people trying to do a Coup through lies, deception and deceit are absolute Traitors to our Republic. In George Washington days they would be hung for high treason and enemy collaboration.
Or not. There’s always an “or not”.
President Trump seems to have underestimated the public interest in the files. Hopefully he learned from it and will declassify more info on important events.
And after all the files are released, they will show nothing new and Oswald will still be guilty. Then conspiracy hounds can scream about the real files are still hidden and/or how the ones released were doctored. Some things never change.
Trump said he will redact names and addresses. Nursing homes? 54 years is a long time
Watch you back Mr President. The CIA might have killed Kennedy.
Doesn’t matter—Poppy Bush and Daddy Cruz’s names will be redacted, with all other interesting parts.
It seems that Trump is (rightly) convinced that Deep State was STALLING.
He got sick of it, and thus decided to show the just who is boss.
I suspect the Deep State/Democrats don’t want people to know that it was the DEMOCRATS who organized and carried out the plan.
Imagine what it would be if the USMC had actually become BGen Donovan’s OSS (forerunner to the CIA). Would it have been still around...and/or would things have been a whole lot different...but surely not the same, in any case!
;)
Semper POTUS.45 ~ If we can keep him!

I scanned the stuff and found one CIA memo from 1993 where they said they were worried about the release of stuff due that year (which got punted to this year). The reason cited wasnt some secret conspiracy, it was that they had reflexively redacted a lot of names and collection means that the writer said probably didnt need to be due to age and individually the redactions are no biggie but there were so many of them across all docs that it was bad optics, made the CIA look like they were trying to hide something. Interesting to see that concern 25 years ago.
