People need to realize that Donald J. Trump is 100% totally different from any other president, in every way.
Sessions recused himself from anything having to do with the Trump campaign as well as anything having to do with the Hillary campaign.
He's not receiving any reports from Mueller. Only Rosenstein is, and there is a Chinese wall between Rosenstein and Sessions on any information about this.
For example, Sessions under his recusal will not initiate any investigations of the Hillary campaign's commissioning or use of the Russia-Steele dossier.
Since the Russia-Steele dossier was commissioned by the Hillary campaign, it may even be the case that Sessions considers his recusal to extend even to the use by the US government of that dossier as a basis for spying and FISA warrants.
It is all in Rosenstein's lap.

I’ve been commenting on the worrisome similarities between JFK & Trump for some time. This relatively concise commentary on perhaps THE most freedom damaging event in my lifetime will make clear to all but the most short attention span observer (none of whom populate this list) that the President we elected in November is under a death sentence by the same sinister forces that killed JFK — for many of the same warped reasons!

Bannon hates Kushner with the fire of a thousand suns. That’s why Bannon said the single stupidest thing I’ve heard in a decade: to wit, that Trump’s firing of Comey was the biggest political mistake of modern times.
Try to grasp how mind-numbingly idiotic that statement is. It’s actually too stupid to quantify. There are no measurements sufficiently large for the job.
Bannon said it because Kushner advised Trump to fire Comey. It was absolutely the right thing to do. Save for Sessions shameful perfidy—he recused himself without even having mentioned to Trump that it might be a possibility—it would have been brilliant. But Sessions stabbed Trump in the back, and Rosenstein took it from there.
Btw, it has evidently escaped your notice that Bannon’s anti-Kushner vendetta continues apace. Whenever there is an unsourced rumor/gossip that reflects negatively on Kushner, Breitbart prints it. It’s disgusting.

He removed himself from “russiagate” and that paved the way for the scumbags who have been investigating. They should have already recused themselves and have not.. probably will not... so the criminals are in charge and Sessions has let them have a heyday.
Ever time I’ve heard Sessions speak to anyone, he’s the picture of the nice man who wants to do the right thing. Only problem with that is the other side is not nice and not going to do the right thing! It’s been months and it’s stirring up a lot of anger to see them attack our President and let the likes of hillary, bill and obama and et al go seemingly free. They set up the dirty tricks and no one is giving them a hard time about it.. and no investigating.
I like Judge Jenine’s opening last night.. I wish Sessions had that kind of fight for this situation.. I just don’t see it and I’m tired of seeing the other side come out every day with their dirt... uncontested.
Sessions is recused. It’s up to Rosenstein.
I’m guessing Rosenstein at some point will indeed give these matters to Mueller and his team of partisan Democrats to investigate.
That way, Mueller and his team can do their best to whitewash everything harmful to the Clintons and their people the way Lynch and Comey did with the investigations into Hillary’s email server and foundation.
What we need is a new special counsel independent of the Dems and the GOPe to investigate these matters.

The first thing that crosses one's mind is that the benefit may be a presidential pardon that makes the cloud, as well as other matters, go away. I ran a similar line of speculation on Comey several months ago and it may yet be in play.
Naive? Perhaps, but as little jeremiah suggested above, Trump is fighting a street fight on his terms and only playing by D.C. rules when it suits him.
Cut Sessions some slack. It takes time and effort to increase civil asset seizures/forfitures.
