The interesting thing about manafort is that he is a treasure trove. He faces going to jail versus getting whacked by Semion etc.
Firtash has made it clear in public that he is not cooperating.
How bad is this for Trump? Did the swamp finally get the thing needed to bring down Trump and his administration? I am getting worried....
Timing comment: much speculation on timing of this indictment. It is possible there is simpler reason. Most federal crimes have 5year statute of limitations. It has been reported that the transactions go back to 2012. This indictment may have been rushed in order to have it be timely filed. if so, the evidence gathered may not be conclusive.
The blow-back on Dems potential of Mueller charging Manafort keep getting better and better.

1. conspiracy against the United States
2. conspiracy to launder money
3. Failure to file - unregistered agent of foreign country
4. False & misleading statements on FARA registration
5 - 12. False statements re: dealing with foreign banks

My guess is they already tried to flip him on Trump and didn’t get anything, now maybe trying to flip him on Podesta. There may be something on Flynn, he filed FARA retroactively after he got “caught” so there’s a big web to look at..
Just heard the Judge on Fox Business say the indictment covers a time period thru the fall of 2016, after he was no longer leading the President’s campaign, so there might be enough for those anti-Trump people to jaw about, for weeks, months, years ...

The Mueller is desperately trying to save his own ass with an offensive appears to be the winner of the day.
I’m not sure that Mueller has helped himself here. He may just be trying to keep his paychecks coming for an extra year or two.
Its a possibility. He dealt with people that kill entire families. Any hint that he is flipping on anything could cause him problems
That said...an indictment does NOT mean the person did not flip.

Just read the indictment. It has ZERO to do with ANYTHING Trump.
I don't know what thread you checked, but I never had a good feeling about Manafort as soon as I learned about how far back his dealings in the Beltway extended. This guy was "The Swamp" personified.
I think we can truly and finally come to the conclusion that Jeff Sessions is a complete worthless piece of s**t.
