Old-earth advocates often claim that dating methods, including radiocarbon, show the earth must be older than the Bible says. But is this true? This chart reflects the radiocarbon that still lingers inside 60 carbon-containing Earth materials collected from representative rock layers. Each result confronts millions-of-years age assignments for those layers.

I couldn’t have explained it better.
For me it only took this simple verse.
“Concern yourself NOT with endless generations”
That sounds like more than 6,000 years
The amount of contamination would be constant in non-living or never living matter. Ambient levels of the isotope.
Doesn’t contamination mean that an outside source contaminated the sample in question?
Doesn’t that also mean that over time as the environment the sample is exposed to changes (erosion, sedimentation, temperature, pressure, uplifts, etc) that the contamination levels will fluctuate depending upon the sample exposure as well?
How do they know what is from the original environment immediate to the sample, what is from the “contaminated” environment, and the period of times the sample was exposed to each?
The background level remains quite constant.
Another clue is when Jesus said He saw Satan fall from Heaven. Where is that recorded in the Genesis creation passages?
Sample contamination. Next ruse, YEC con artists.
Ever heard of the cosmic background radiation? That came from let there be light. The 12th and 13th century Jewish Sages pegged that as being about 15 billion years ago, based on their understanding of the Torah.
Noticing is good. ;-).
Ummm....the Bible does not say how old the earth is. All numbers applied to the earth’s age from the Bible are pure speculation based on assumptions, not facts. Like global warming.
