Mueller grand jury investigating top DC lobbyists

WASHINGTON (AP) — Special counsel Robert Mueller’s grand jury is investigating a prominent Democratic lobbyist and a former GOP congressman for their involvement in an influence campaign on behalf of Ukrainian interests tied to Paul Manafort, according to a person with direct knowledge of the investigation.
At the center of the widening probe are Tony Podesta, a longtime Democratic operative, and Vin Weber, a former GOP congressman and leader of his own high-powered lobbying firm, Mercury LLC. The two men were hired as part of a multimillion-dollar lobbying effort directed by Manafort and longtime associate Rick Gates.

I confess that I’m not up on all of the intricacies of the Clintons, but is Hillary tied in with Tony Podesta? I know that John Podesta was her campaign manager, but how does that connect her to Tony (other than John and he are cousins, I think)?

They pushed this because they believed Russia would bring down Trump.
Instead, its backfiring on them as high-ranking Democrats are being ensnared by Mueller’s probe.
Won’t take them long to demand Trump fire him. Somewhere, Trump is laughing his ass off at their plight.

Okay, JOHN Podesta was her campaign manager (I knew that), and he and Tony are brothers (not cousins).
Was Tony part of her campaign also (I’ve not heard that)? I just don’t see how this automatically will lead back to Clinton (grrr), but I hope I’m wrong!
