I can cut him some slack, since GHWB is 93, probably in early to mid-stage dementia, and a Dewey Republican who would oppose Trump as today’s Truman Democrat, which makes Trump more desirable as President than most-to-all of today’s Republicans. The one I cannot forgive, politically speaking, is his son.
Never before has a political family fallen so quickly from grace. They even beat out the Kennedys on their own descent to the bottom.
It started with the cringe-worthy campaign of Jeb Bush in 2015 and ended with the full degradation of George HW and George W less than a year later. The political destruction of all the Bushes is now total. Even none of the younger Bushes are getting any traction these days.
