A scorned woman is on trial for murder after her ex-boyfriend ended his life in a euthanasia clinic because she threw acid over him, a court has heard.
In what is believed to be a legal first, Berlinah Wallace is accused of killing Mark van Dongen who asked doctors to end his life 15 months after the alleged attack.
Ms Wallace, 48, poured sulfuric acid over Mr van Dongen following a row about another woman as she laughed and told him: "If I can't have you no-one can", the jury heard.
The Dutch national, 29, suffered 25 percent burns, had to have his skin surgically removed and lost a leg, his left eye, and most of the sight in his right eye. He was left paralysed apart from his tongue.
The civil engineer was eventually transferred back to Belgium to be close to his family, where he successfully applied for euthanasia and his life was taken on on January 2.

How do you make a murder charge stick in a case where the victim had himself euthanized in another country? Call BLM ... the Dutch government is railroading this black woman!

According to the article, he was a civil engineer and she was a "fashion student," but he was living at her apartment.
I am somewhat sympathetic to that argument. As vicious as this was, it was not murder. At least she was not the killer. His killers are in Belgium.

From the account it appears the acid burned deep enough for serious nerve damage:

I am not at all sympathetic to this woman. She destroyed him.
His life was ruined. I hope that she is jailed for a very long time in order to protect others.
Hmm, if that was my “life” not sure what the point of living in constant agony with only being able to move your tongue gets you..
