LOL! You’re right...I did!
Ooookaaaay.
WOOHOO! Slipped right in and snagged that 50!
Thanks for playing! Does this make you stuffing or mashed potatoes? :)
Howdy, MS.B!
Dang it, I missed ya! :-(
Hope all’s going well up there. Freezin’ your hineys off?
Homegrown is definitely the best. I wish I was a good gardener but my two attempts at it didn’t turn out too well.
But that’s what farmers markets are for and there are plenty of folks around here who know what they’re doing. LOL
How on earth did you get an accidental tomato plant?
You Are Friendly and Cooperative |
You love the togetherness of Thanksgiving, and you like adding your own little something to the group dynamic. Like stuffing, you do a good job complementing and cooperating with others. When you're on your own, you're a little lost. You are old fashioned and love traditions. You like to remember the holidays of your childhood and replicate them as much as possible. You think that passing down customs is important. Even if everyone at the table doesn't like stuffing much, it should still be served. Actually, they missed my very favorite...pecan pie! It's in a food group all its own! :) |
We aren’t sure, but we actually have 3. Two of them just came up too late to really do anything but look cute.
Hubby thinks it was a seed from a tomato that we threw into the compost pile and then used some of it to fertilize a potted “mosquito bush”....that, by the way, didn’t help keep mosquitoes off of me. LOL!
I did too!
I hope my comment doesn’t get pulled though.
That could well be.
At least one of them came up in time to give y’all some yummies.
Is the “mosquito bush” one of those geraniums? I’ve gotten them a few times and they’ve worked fairly well. You have to rub the leaves then rub the fragrance on yourself. I think it smells good. Citrusy.
I don’t know if it is or not. Smells sort of lemony and might help a little I guess, but with hubby having so many rain water barrels, ti’s hard to get rid of all of them. Even though he treats the water.
He also bought me two lavender plants because they are supposed to repel them, too. I didn’t know till I touched one of them that the leaves also smell lavender-ish. I can hardly wait till they bloom next year!
Yep, that must be what you have. I like that citrusy fragrance but mosquitos don’t seem to like it. They don’t bite me much any way but do buzz me a lot. If I rub the leaves and rub my arms and such, they don’t buzz me nearly as much.
I didn’t know lavender was supposed to repel them too. I just like the fragrance a lot.
Aunt Clara had a ran barrel for a while and Hubby tried treating it to keep mosquitos out. Didn’t do much good so he dumped the water out. We have more than enough water close by (a lake at the back of the farm) for the darn things to reproduce in.
I wish we didn’t have to have them, but they saved our bacon during the drought. We actually pumped our used bathwater into one of them to re-use outside. I hope I never have to go through that hell again.
All the lakes around us, which aren’t even close, dried up. I mean REALLY dried up.
That sounds soooo good! What do you use for a crust?
Yeah, where you live, they’re pretty much a must. I remember seeing pix of the dry lake beds during that drought. A horrible sight. I hope y’all don’t go through that again too!
Here is the result I got from this morning's quiz:
It was awful. I think that’s one reason that I hate the summer heat. It reminds me of how bad it got.
Guess I’d better head out. Sure hope I don’t land on another 50. LOL!
Can’t blame ya for that. Not a nice reminder.
Good night and sleep well. I hope the kittehs are outside again. :-)
I’ll take it off your hands. :-)
