What does political allegiances have to do with tax deductions and overall tax cuts? Dramatically reducing the size of Government through a reduction in spending (not in this bill) along with tax cuts should be the goal of any conservative. Eliminating these deductions regardless of how it impacts blue vs. red is like telling the Government “yes please take more of my money, the money I earned because well, you know how to spend my money far better than I”

The people cheering on the tax bill are some of the most shortsighted, geographical bigots I have ever encountered.
Once the individual deductions are taken away - they will never, ever come back. Tax rates, of course, can always be raised.
The SALT deduction has been Federal Law since 1913. Do people think that if the Feds are able to destroy this deduction a few days from now, that they will get the Federal government to restore it? The same goes with other deductions that are about to be eliminated.
We are watching the GOP commit political suicide. And the strange and disturbing thing is that many people who are supposed "conservatives" are cheering on the death, and acting like this is some sort of amusing Michael Vick dog fight.

Taxes on income and property are theft no matter how you calculate the tax.
You don’t own it if the government can just take it. So long as there are taxes on income and property, you don’t own a damned thing; there are no personal property rights.
