Amazing isn't it?

The Temple is destroyed in 70 AD during the First Jewish Revolt. In 131 AD Jerusalem is renamed Aelia Capitolina and Judaea is renamed Syria Palestina.

They are brought back in 1948 and Israel is formed as a country.

And this is sheer random luck??

Did Catholic seminaries not teach Bibile to their up and coming priests?

This is sure to start a tangent line of thought...

Have you ever heard of the Crucifixion?

Or the destruction of Jerusalem? Which Jesus predicted.

The people who rejected the Word Incarnate lost their claim on tbe Promised Land.

And even if they didn't, it wasn't up to the British Foreign Office to give it back...

Have you ever read Genesis? Where is the promise to Abraham invalidated?

A disaster. And millions of Christians think the pro-abortion, socialist, atheist modern State of Israel has something to do with the Bible. Thanks to the deadly “Scofield Bible.”

Israel is pro-abortion, socialist, and atheist because it is "western." You know, like America . . . and Mother Ireland.

If modern Israel were the true restored Biblical Theocratic Israel, chrstianity, islam, baha'i, and all other false religions and their practitioners would be banned there. Seems that "freedom of religion" thing that allows chrstianity there stems from the same mentality as pro-abortionism, socialism, and atheism.

Besides . . . your real trouble with Israel is that, like Genesis and Proverbs, you reject the literal interpretation of messianic prophecies.

And you don't need Scofield. Just rip out the "new testament." No one had any business adding it in the first place.

No promise of God is invalidated. But those who reject Logos reject any participation in the promise.

Then the promise to Abraham is still in place. We don't know the mind of God in all things.

But we do know Israel is a country again since the late first century.

I don’t think you know the meaning of the words “those who reject Logos.”

I remember the front page of the newspaper when the Chappaquidick story broke. The moon landing was the big headline and Teddy’s story was right beneath it.
