A disaster. And millions of Christians think the pro-abortion, socialist, atheist modern State of Israel has something to do with the Bible. Thanks to the deadly “Scofield Bible.”

That’s because only after the bones, flesh, and skin develop does God breathe life into them. Ezek 37 This is occurring and will ultimately be confirmed per Jer. 33 and Matt 24 and many more passages. To call God’s plan’s and promises for Israel as a people and a nation a disaster is more like faithlessness. Plenty of people have believed these promises found in both the Old and New Covenant before Scofield and without picking up a Scofield Bible. One could make the argument that all forms of replacement theology have influenced Church tradition and thought since the early church fathers erroneous interpretations and hermeneutics.

Daniel's list is a whole lot longer that that. Only his understanding is altogether different:

16. O Lord, according to all your righteousness, I pray you, let your anger and your fury be turned away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people have become a reproach to all those who are around us:
17. Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of your servant, and his supplications, and cause your face to shine upon your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake:
18. O my God, incline your ear, and hear; open your eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by your name; for we do not present our supplications before you for our righteousness, but for your great mercy:
19. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, listen and do; do not delay, for your own sake, O my God; for your city and your people are called by your name:

The State of Israel is a miracle.

You sound like a member of the Keepers of Odd Knowledge.

God’s promises are still valid and in effect regardless of your opinion of the Jews and Israel.

Did Catholic seminaries not teach Bibile to their up and coming priests?

Those who read any Bible know Israel’s existence today is important in end times history.

Those who deny this do not know the Scriptures.

Have you ever read Scofield’s notes??

Has God's promise to Abraham in Genesis been negated in Roman Catholicism?

Israel is pro-abortion, socialist, and atheist because it is "western." You know, like America . . . and Mother Ireland.

If modern Israel were the true restored Biblical Theocratic Israel, chrstianity, islam, baha'i, and all other false religions and their practitioners would be banned there. Seems that "freedom of religion" thing that allows chrstianity there stems from the same mentality as pro-abortionism, socialism, and atheism.

Besides . . . your real trouble with Israel is that, like Genesis and Proverbs, you reject the literal interpretation of messianic prophecies.

And you don't need Scofield. Just rip out the "new testament." No one had any business adding it in the first place.
