I lecture these people all the time, your new boyfriend does NOT take precedence over your kids. You new boyfriend/girlfriend does NOT form a new family despite what your therapist says, that child was there first and comes first. Your new boyfriend/girlfriend does NOT get to discipline your child. Tell them to keep their mitts off or you will walk.

I have read so many stories similar to this and I can’t help thinking of how crazy this is. There are so many single mothers with vulnerable children who just can’t exist without a man, any man, in her bed every night. Often she is the bread winner and the guy keeps the children which in itself tells you a lot about him.
This child has been missing since Monday morning, Nov.27, 2017.
On the savannah, the new head of the pride kills off the cubs sired by the previous dominant lion. Some people aren’t much different. Probably the little one took up too much of Mom’s attention and affection.

My niece remarried and her husband is a great dad to her eldest, now adult daughter from her previous marriage just as she is a great step mom to his son from his previous marriage, in many ways more of a mom to him than his natural mother, tough on him, yes, giving him the discipline and structure he never got from his mom, but a loving and good influence on him.
And they are together, great parents to their four children.
