AVALANCHE: Democratic Senators Turn on Al Franken After Latest Allegations
Mediaite ^ | 6 Dec 2017 | Josh Feldman

Six senators on Wednesday called on fellow Democrat Al Franken to resign, in a jaw-dropping avalanche of statements addressing the latest allegations against the Minnesota senator.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, kicked things off, publishing a post on Facebook aptly titled “Senator Franken Should Step Aside” (read here). Democratic Sens. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire, Patty Murray of Washington and Kamala Harris of California all followed suit.

This comes on the heels of yet another woman coming forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against Franken, which he has denied as “categorically not true.”

Gillibrand’s Facebook statement says that while she has considered Franken a friend, “this moment of reckoning about our friends and colleagues who have been accused of sexual misconduct is necessary, and it is painful.”

Hirono immediately followed suit, publishing a thread on Twitter explaining her decision:

Avalanche, huh. Why now? They’ve known about it for years.

Why should Franken get to decide if he goes or stays?

Franken, GTH out of my government....this means you.

A Minnesota paper editorialized Al Franken’s “apology” .........didn’t like it.....said it sounded like he’s sorry for what “you think I did.”

A DISCOURAGING WORD FOR AL “THE CUPPER” FRANKEN
Here’s a powerful anti-Democratic campaign issue just begging for 30-second TV spot ads.

Democrat Al Franken raised $26 million from Hollywood celebs.

He gave $25 million and change to other Democrat candidates (a bribe to get these Democrats on his side).

Thank to Weinstein, Peckerwood’s under siege as the “Perv Capital of The World........and tone-deaf Franken’s sucking up money from he likes of Harvey Weinstein clones and giving it to Democrat campaigns?

Yeah, Al, like voters are gonna love that.

“BTW Al, you can forget about your long-held dream of being president....that pic of you cupping the breasts of a sleeping woman is your lasting legacy as a politician.”

As always, this is ridiculous. Allegations should have to be proven. You can’t just have a mob of femi-nazi’s dictating (in place of voters) who should stay and who should go.

“Can you imagine the slandering that would be going on against Tweeden if she didn’t have photographic evidence?”

I was thinking the same thing when the news broke. She should have made the accusation, wait a little while, then drop the pics after they tried to destroy her.

She seemed to be all for getting the facts out in a single story though and not too interested in the politics (though I can assure you that if Franken were a Republican, she would have done it the “right” way ... she seems like a liberal).

I know this is not going to be popular here on FR, but this makes it very difficult for Moore to serve in the Senate should he win next Tuesday.

For his sake and his family’s, I hope he does consider stepping down after winning and make a deal with Ivey to get Mo Brooke into the Senate.

I just don’t see how he can be an effective Senator for Alabama. He will be a pariah in the Senate. They will give him no committee assignments, he will likely be kicked out of the Republican caucus and will have to sit as an Independent.

Frankly, I think the Dems have played this perfectly. This just might put Jones over the top. All very sad...

The plan is to do the same thing to Trump.

Won’t be long now.

It is time we ended the political SMEAR. This has been a communist tactic to take out our political candidates that abhor their views & agenda!

We need to stand firm and not allow them to succeed any more!

I want Franken to hang in there as long as he can — right through reelection in 2020 (?).

If he resigns, he gets replaced with another RAT.

But if he survives long enough to run again, he can be taken out by a strong Pubbie. Remember that Trump closed strong in Minnesota, and probably would have taken the state if not for the usual RAT shenanigans, combined with the large Third World scum population in the Twin Cities.

It would be justice to see Franken get his final comeuppance through the ballot box, rather than he-said, she-said allegations.

After all, he won his first term by vote fraud.

True, so very true. It has ALWAYS been about Moore. Franken and Conyers just did not get their cue cards in time.

They’ll never allow Moore to attend any meetings.

Well, maybe this is the kernel that can be used to coalesce a new Conservative third-party. Stand strong, Senator Moore, even if you have to stand alone until we can elect others to join YOU in a new Conservative Party!

Glad to see someone gets it.

The Dems do not want to spend a fortune defending an un-elected incumbent in what is now a swing state.

The MSM won’t tell the truth, but the Franken mess (whether he stays or goes) is a disaster for the pervert party.

“...difficult for Moore to serve in the Senate...”

Why difficult?

The “allegations” against Moore are completely unproven and suspicious. Moore is innocent unless proven guilty.

As far as Franken there is proof of his wrongdoings.

No comparison here.

What should the REAL title be of Al Franken’s Biography:

Al Franken: GROPER of the Senate

Al Franken: Giant D!(K

Any suggestions?!?

BINGO!!

And they are willing to sacrifice harvey and al and LOTS more for the “greater good”

But the country doesn’t seem to give much of a #### as they are trying to pay the mortgage and the car etc.

Dems have lost touched with the common man. REALLY lost touch.

They will fail miserably and only hurt themselves.

Good!

Nice to see this idiot go down in flames. The one I’m waiting to crash and burn in the fires of exposure is Joe Scarborough.
You just know that guy is ultra creepy with some serious closet skeletons. Seems like the subject of that age old story of the guy that signed a contract with Satan.
