I was so hoping the new FBI director, Wray, would not be the partisan hack that Comey was, but after seeing him clam up before the committee today, I’m afraid he may be.

I got an uneasy vibe while watching him.

Director Wray did nothing wrong. He can’t throw his institution under the bus. He can’t throw his people under the bus.

He did the next best thing. He deferred and said the OIG is handling it. It’s the best answer he could give all around.

Wray will be picking up the pieces from the shattered agency and he well knows it.
Give him credit for sticking around which he should.

I got an uneasy vibe while I was watching his confirmation.
I was hoping and praying that I was wrong.

I guess I wasn’t.

I was distracted by the one guy sitting behind him who looked like he was distressed.
Wonder what that guy’s story is.
