My first husband’s grandmother was 14 when she married a 40 year old man. They had 14 children. I knew that grandmother and loved her. She was still squatting to husk corn when she was in her 90s. She was a joyful funny woman.
“She was still squatting to husk corn when she was in her 90s.”

Sound like a great lady! But why did she squat while cornhusking - or do you mean when out in the field?
And that was exactly why it was commonly that way. Older, established man finds woman of prime child-bearing age in order to have a family. That was not at all unusual. It is only due to progressive manipulation of societal norms that anybody even finds it questionable. Men are, also, able to reproduce at a much greater age than women. That is a biological fact. And either we were designed that way, or we evolved that way (it doesn't matter which as far as the argument is concerned), for a reason. Normal. Standard practice, even among many other species. Don't be fooled by progressive faux morality used for political ends.
